Looking at those sub projects we could use help in OGR27. Remember to get the client direct from the distrubuted.net and not the Yoyo client. I just read a post about RC5, they have just passed the 2% mark. And the target date of completion is as follows : 2020-2148 so we might have to make a few more generations of new Knights and computing power to finish the project. Maybe just a small slow machine and not your powerful farms for these projects.

We really should have a recruiting post in every project's message boards.... _________________

For OGR-27, Team Info
http://stats.distributed.net/team/tmember.php?project_id=27&team=3706
For RC5-72, Team Info
http://stats.distributed.net/team/tmember.php?project_id=8&team=3706
Note: The 'usual' name for a KWSN Team Name is different here!
We 'usually' are The Knights Who Say Ni!
These are Knights Who Say "Ni!"
For both, our Team Contact: Necroscope
(EMail at link on Stats.Distributed.net)
Click on Team Summary Page , then look for
a single line under the list of Teams
" I want to join this team! "
UPDATE: Added a second Tower, a P4 with 3 GigglyPuffs
Sir Wabbit! Are we focusing on OGR or RC5? (Mine usually does OGR) _________________

Thanks for the info Mr. Phred. I have found through their faQ that I must first return some work to them before i can activate my account and then join the team. I shall do so as soon as my shrubber sends some back _________________

Sir Phread,
For now OGR since I can easily rack up units. In RC5 I was limited at about 30 a day which is nothing.
Also the stats only update once a day midnight Dutch time.
I think the focus should be OGR and remember not through Yoyo.
We have a heavy hitter right now on RC5 which is returning around 200K a day, so unless you can match that in RC5 I say focus on OGR. After OGR is finished focus on RC5 since we have about 100 years left to finish that project.

Mine is sharing time with PrimeGrid. So no rush since this will take time to finish.

How many Gnodes does it normally run before turning in an OGR unit so i have an idea as to how long it'll take _________________

Copied from an OLD Message at AnandTech:
Quote: | Here is what I have come up with. Take your nodes/sec figure and divide it by 1000 and then multiply that by .087. This will give you a ball-park estimate of the number of Gnodes that client/machine will complete in each 24-hour period.
As an example, the following client should complete around 427 Gnodes per day. (4,915,142.15 /1000 X .087 = 427.61)
[Sep 16 11:51:07 UTC] Completed OGR stub 25/2-16-5-7-29-9 (157,537,970,429 ...
0.03:39:22.34 - [4,915,142.15 nodes/sec]
I don't know if this is old news or not, but I find this helpful in allocating computer resources between the two D-Net projects.

Update: IF this is correct, my P4s (At 2.8GHz, 16,133,924 and
17,192,025 respectively) should do 1403.65 to 1495.71/Day

That example was an old Celeron I think. Like 500 a day
My P4 (A Double-Core) will do maybe three times as much. Like 1500 a day
So newer hardware I'd expect at least 2500 or more. That's my guess
I got the numbers for calculating MY results by running the Benchmark _________________

ok well since mine can average 16,826,368 nodes/sec on my desktop at full speed that means i can get ~ 1,463 Gnodes per day if i left it running at full speed. _________________

Also every time I go on the computer I check the client to see if any WUs have finished and ready to be flushed back. The reason I do this, is if I waited until all 25 were done before sending them back I would wait days if not weeks before reporting work and credit.

Just a reminder that Moo1 Wrapper (a boinc gpu project) will produce credits for boinc and (if you have the settings right) also for our team on RC5-72. That is a big reason we have gone from DEEP in the rankings to top 20. Well done folks! On another note, neither DNETC nor Yoyo (also wrappers for Distributed.net) will produce credits for our team at Distributed.net.

Sir Stooper. That Moo Wrapper project is the only reason the RC5 project is over 2% complete, before it was no where close to 2%.
