Knights!

Superlink has been added to the vault. This screwed up our standings, we're down to 5th overall and 4th in bio/med.

We are 24th in the vault for superlink, but we could rise past most with a concentrated push. Not a lot of teams have really high scores here yet, we need to kick it up a notch.

I didn't even see that as it had no impact on our total.

NI!

There was NO KWSN team in there, maybe there was under the legacy version 4 they mention. In any event, I made us a team for gimps. I guess I'll have to start throwing some cores at it as they become available. 0 makes it our worst score.

I threw a couple of 4200X2 cores at the GIMPS.
What a pain- their download link is dead (took forever to download a bad file), finally found it on a mirror.
* With an expected finish on March 2nd, I don't know if I am going anywhere fast on this project.
* Not to mention messing with the stats program. Another Non-Boinc Project, just what I need! Confused

The mprime download link for 64-bit linux worked, but the help files were for prime95. There's a text file you need to edit to place your username, and you need to make an account on the site and attach yourself to our team.

One warning, for the 64-bit linux, I couldn't get it to shut down or halt. Couldn't even kill it. Finally gave up and rebooted. I'll stick the P4 on it when it's done with the climate WUs. probably the thunderbird too and see how it works out.

There was some setup also, using a switch after mprime in a terminal.

I got lazy, I put the Windoze version on a machine I had dual-booted in to BG's world for SHA-1.
If it looks like it is worth it, I'll switch to the Linux version.
(I want to see where we are going in the Vault before I commit to a bunch of screwing around) Confused

I think I'll switch some sr2sieving cores towards GIMPS, 0 score for GIMPS is much worse than 6,666 points... Confused

***Edit: Is it me, or those GIMPS (Prime95) WU are super long? Confused
***Edit2: Well, looks like SOME WU are huge and some are tiny... every bit counts, especially when we have 0 points... Rolling Eyes

Someone needs to do it manually, but mke sure you get the team name exactly right - the admins will then add us into the stats.

I made our gimps name match our vault name so you shouldn't have an issue getting them to add it. Or you can bribe them with spam!

Remember that the team is added to the Vault manually, so it'll take until someone notices it - I got a confirmation e-mail last time I added us to a project, so you'll need to wait for that.
