Sorry Cohiba, but I can't get my head around that. Can't focus enough to even try at the moment.

Nope. Definitely Ian Anderson. Sir Frank is another young'un. _________________ My brain hurts.

Methinks you have the WRONG Ray Thomas. Methinks you are thinking of Ray "No Show" Thomas who was once married to Tammy Wynette (and was born in 1931 in Texas).
The Ray Thomas I meant (born in England in 1941) was a founding member of The Moody Blues and retired from gigging with the band back in 2002 Moody Blues _________________ KWSN Sir CADCAM of the Wooden Rabbit

Ah, but the connecting factor here is August 10th. If Sir Frank's birthday is August 10th as he stated, and he is exactly 25 years younger than an eminent rock flautist, that would make him exactly 25 years younger than Ian Anderson, and approximately 9 1/2 years younger than me.
Besides, I've never heard of either Ray Thomas. I have heard of Moody Blues. _________________ My brain hurts.

If you've heard of the Moody Blues and presumably their music, then that is Ray Thomas playing the haunting flute sections on "Nights (should that be Knights?) in White Satin".
The Moody Blues played quite a significant part of my late-teens and twenties, as "Birds" (young ladies) thought it was very "cerebral" to listen to a group that could rock hard with "Ride My See-Saw / I'm Just a Singer in a Rock N' Roll Band" but could then switch, without missing a beat, to 'meaningful' lyric based music such as "Nights in White Satin / Go Now / Tuesday Afternoon / Question".
Some of The Moodies albums were compared to Led Zeppelin 4 for being able to 'pull' the ladies. _________________ KWSN Sir CADCAM of the Wooden Rabbit

I love Led Zeppelin's music, but (don't spank me) I've always found Moody Blues to be a bit wishy washy. Nights in White Satin, IMO, would have to be one of the most boring dreary overplayed songs ever. *spew* Sort of light and fruity, as opposed to the slightly more intense sound of Massive Attack's "Angel" or the sheer goosebumpy, teary-eyed beauty of a song like "Gorecki" by Lamb. (Goosebumpy and teary-eyed because of the Michael/Nikita on again/off again "not allowed in Section One" love story. *huge sigh* Sometimes it's hard being a hopeful romantic even when you know how the story ends.)
Getting back on track, we now know the secret of your success with the ladies when you were a "less mature" studly fellow.
Yikes! See ya. *zooming away quickly* _________________ My brain hurts.

Fairly sound reasoning, Sir Prize. Especially when you consider the fact that January is pretty cold in the northern hemisphere and people do need warming up.
We now have Cohiba on the list. _________________ My brain hurts.

Oh, to be as 'old' as you.
If you're 'old'...and I'm 20 years older than you...
No comments from the peanut gallery please.
The Wabbit is on the list.
p.s. Wabbit, I only needed the day and month...not the year. _________________ My brain hurts.

Just roll on over here by my rocking chair, you two!
Back in my day, we had to walk five miles to school through ten feet of snow every day, uphill both ways...
(Looking off into space, his head nodding, the old man suddenly drifts off to sleep...)
