So we were playing around on google maps over on the IRC channel tonight. All kinds of nifty satellite pics of "secret places" like the groom lake nuclear test sites (look for a lot of cratars) and stealth bombers and such. But then we had the brilliant idea of looking for something near and dear to all of us. Jonnyv ended up getting the winning link.

Thats right, it is a satellite image of the arecibo radio observatory in Puerto rico. They don't have ultra-high resolution images of the area so you can't see the technicians waving at the satellite but the round shape is pretty easy to pick out of the surrounding hills.
Anyway, thought I would share that with all you non-IRC junkies
