That depends on which list you look at. We are #12 (actually #11 now) if sorted by Recent average credit which is how it is sorted by default on the BOINC project web pages. However my stats site sorts by total credit by default since I think this is the logical thing to sort by as RAC can fluctuate wildly due to several circumstances. |
Great..

Heh. Well in theory the fact that we are #11 by RAC means we will eventually climb to #11 in total credit so it can be viewed as a forshadowing of our bright future! |

Ni!
I see on the E@H message board that people are still getting 0 credit for work done ( see thread ). Just in case somebody wonders.

I wonder why nobody replied to this posting at E@Hs message board?! I could think of a few things! _________________ a monster can be excused for his behaviour . . . The problem is not how a monster could do it, but how a human being did it.

Article in The Institute, an IEEE publication.
Quote: | But Einstein@Home is far more than a public relations project to raise awareness of physics. It’s real physics itself. Download the screen saver, and you’re also downloading a program that will calculate whether any direct evidence of gravitational waves can be discerned in the raw data obtained from the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) project.
...If one day LIGO detects gravitational waves, what do Einstein@Home participants get—a share of a Nobel Prize? A bottle of wine? An acknowledgment in a scientific paper? “In the end, you get a number: your credits, which give you a feel for your level of participation in the project,” Allen says, “and the knowledge in your heart that you directly contributed to pioneering physics.”

I detached from Einsten a while back because I wanted to concentrate more resources on biological projects like Predictor and Rosetta. Well Rosetta doesn't perform well on my machine and I received the following note from the Einstein project. Although it was just an email, not hand written on high quality stationary, I thought that was a touch of class and decided to rejoin this project.
Quote: | Thank you for your contribution to the Einstein@Home project. We have completed a search for isolated pulsars using the most sensitive 600 hours of LIGO S3 data and are now doing an improved search using the more sensitive S4 data set.
At the current rate, this improved search will take about six months to complete. Our records indicate that you contributed to our previous search but are no longer active. Please consider restarting the project on your computer(s) to help us complete the S4 search more quickly.
Sincerely,
Bruce Allen
Director, Einstein@Home

I just brought a couple of more of computers online to the Einstein cause, a 1400 Pentium D and a 1000 Athlon, each BOINCing for Einstein 2/3 of the time. I know it's not much, but hopefully every little bit will help. |

Wabbit, I didn't get one either.
I think you'll find that they may have sent them to people who have detached, to try to encourage them to rejoin. _________________ My brain hurts.
