Get registered Kanigits! KWSN currently makes up only 7 of the 104 crunchers signed up so far...

Thanks to those who are able to register early. I think the more we get signed up early on, the more inclined other KNi!ghts will be to join us.
We will need every shrubber and herring wielding, coconut clapping, swallow trajectory calculator we can muster.
I have been told that there are a few mistakes/errors on the website.
SETI-Germany challenge sponsors have been informed about anything I've noticed and I've forwarded info on anything anyone has shared with me.
If you see errors or things that need fixed, please contact them and bring it to their attention at https://www.seti-germany.de/Wow/feedback.php?&lang=en
We have a limited supply of Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch. Anyone who has connections with the Armory in Antioch should start bribing officials as soon as possible.

It certainly does give a speed up to the tasks. Now if i could get boinc to realize that AMD APP SDK is not meant for the opencl on my intel cpu but for the opencl on my AMD gpu _________________

THX!
I also did this dirty trick:
Code: | <app_config>
<app>
<name>setiathome_v8</name>
<max_concurrent>3</max_concurrent>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.33</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>0.1</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
</app_config> |
And for some reason GPU and CPU WU's don't work at the same time
NVM i figured it out, it was because of this line:
Code: | <max_concurrent>3</max_concurrent> |

OK , you convinced me to use my lil'ole GPU to shrub some multibeam, fuggitabout the astro pulse v-7... just not regular enough to fret over.
The addition of the app_config file seems to work fine, allowing for all cpu cores to run plus the gpu.
I do wish I had a few servers and another 5 or 10 shrubbers in my posession.... but if wishes were fishes we would all have plenty of herring to chop down the Mighty Larch.

I wouldn't have any legroom. It's currently set at 50% CPU usage.
Looks like it's gonna get hot this coming so hopefully a bit cooler after.
Room reached 29C during the recent heatwave so shrubber was switched off. _________________

Less than a week until the start and we have 60 Knights registered to do some serious alien searching.
Everybody registered and shrubbing SETI counts toward our team standings.
The stats will be reset for the last time on Monday, 15 August to begin the challenge. Registration remains open throughout the contest.
KWSN Wow! team 2016
There are plenty of K ni! gahts that have not yet registered that were an important part of our previous years efforts.
If you are able to contact any of these good shrubmasters from last year, please let them know that we need and appreciate their help.
PM me for a list of knights who have not yet registered but were on last years team.
Edit/Update: countdown @ T - 3 days = 70 knights-a-shrubbing. _________________

Reminder: The SETI Wow Event starts on Monday 8/15. KWSN has 72 registered! I think that's about the strength we've had in years past, can we get more? Ni!

Would it be rude to call them out on facebook?
I'm gonna need my annual lesson in bunkering, how do I do that again? Ooops perhaps too late...
Also I have a lowly GT640 Nvidia GPU. Is it worth fiddling with the <app config> settings? I kinda doubt it, but if so what should I do?
I do have the Lunatics software installed. _________________

2013 we ended with 76 total -- 70 were able to contribute more than 5000 for the two weeks
2014 we ended with 136 total -- 102 had more than 5000 in two weeks
2015 we ended with 115 total -- 93 turned in more than 5000 at the end
we started last year (2015) with 77
This year one quit KWSN to lead a one man "team", one top producer retired this summer and many other KWSN seemed to have gone completely inactive over the last year.
If we could get every one of our 50 top rac in SETI to register, that would be fantastic.
I have sent out around 400 Private Messages to seti-shrubbin-knights via the SETI boards inviting them to register for the 2016 Wow! and I have sent 2 pm's to many active Knights.
Sometimes they don't see the messages until it's too late or there is a burning village that takes priority.
People DO have other lives and circumstances that pop up. (Blood thirsty killer rabbits, the plague, etc. etc.) ... so you can't blame people for not being able to participate.
We should expect about another dozen Knights to join us before the end of August. _________________

Your help is indeed welcome Sir.

At noon Eastern US time the Contest begins.
Good luck to all.

Did an emergency shrub brake earlier as I thought it was midnight not later today.
Got some just to finish off and then might take a heat/noise break for a couple of days. _________________
