Was tinkering with BAM last night and got a WU from QMC with 130:56:00 remaining. What's up with that??

Check the seti-subforum on here. There's a link to optimized apps for seti. HUGE speed improvement. And you can brag that are you using something besides the stock app.

Do the optimized apps still crunch other projects too?

Those apps won't. They are project specific. There are some other projects with optimized apps available, but you have to be careful. Some, like primegrid, simply allowed those of us using a new optimized app to help test it. Then it became the new stock app. Similar happening with Collatz. I'll have to check with crunchr about Milky Way. Thing is, if the project updates their apps, yours won't because you are making it use a specific app. I've been periodically checking on lunatics and posting when I see something new available. I might make a habit of checking the others and make posts for those as well. If you are comfortable running them, please have at it! Just remember to watch for updates as they won't be automatic while you use them.
