This must be one of the hardest slogs in Boinc-Land, it took me over 5 1/2 years of shrubbing WCG to reach 1 million points! For some reason WCG awarded me 6,997,114 points, dunno why they have a separate internal point system, why don't they just increase the Boinc point system?
But hey, it's well worth the effort for the projects we're supporting...

AFAIK, WCG point system is older than BOINC one (WCG points are 7x higher than BOINC credits - the (re)calculations has something to do with FLOPS), so they just keep it up and going
