I need to get off my butt and build my second media server. Scoping out options for cpus. I want to keep the choices under 90 watts. $400 or so per proc. Seems like a 2620 (6 cores @ 2.1G) doesn't feel like as much of a workhorse as say a 1620 (4 cores @ 3.6G). Wouldn't mind a dual 2011 board which means the E3 line (like the 1620 here) couldn't be used. So for builders or those running servers, what have you found gives you the most bang for your electric bill? _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Given their size and rather metallic compostion, this is probably a good thing for you. I imagine it would hurt a lot. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |
