|
|
New project, Non CPU Intensive. Needs 32 bit Java.
Quote: | Spatiotemporal QoS is a research project founded by National Science Foundation (NSF). It uses Internet-connected computers to perform distributed web service evaluation so that more accurate service quality information can be delivered to end users.

More detail:
Quote: | Thousands of geospatial web services (Web Map Services, Web Coverage Services, Catalog Services, Web Feature Services and etc.) exist online today. They are persistently serving the geospatial communities; however, many web services with low performance or stabilities exist in the geospatial data catalogs, clearinghouses. The project could help to find the performance of web services from different locations and help users to discover these services efficiently.

I'm not quite grasping what they want to accomplish. To verify the weather sites are up? To verify the weather sites are accurate (and using what as a metric)? To control the weather for world domination? _________________ Some days are worse than others. |
