I think we screwed this up. Turns out this Pentathlon introduces the first Marathon project that is crunched during the entire two weeks regardless of other projects in the Olympic competition. That Marathon Project? SkyNet / POGS! Is there ANY way KWSN can enter the Marathon at this point? It started 3.5 hours ago!

On edit: Dang it, never mind. "All teams must have signed up for the Pentathlon until 27st of April 2014 using this registration form - subsequent submissions won't be accepted."

Old Proverb from home of my birth...
"Anybody can get their Poop in one pile, but it takes a whole team to pick it up and carry it down the field."

Lol
TheSkyNet POGS is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in astronomy. We will combine the spectral coverage of GALEX, Pan-STARRS1, and WISE to generate a multi-wavelength UV-optical-NIR galaxy atlas for the nearby Universe. We will calculate physical parameters such as: star formation rate, stellar mass of the galaxy, dust attenuation, and total dust mass of a galaxy; on a pixel-by-pixel basis using spectral energy distribution fitting techniques.
Sorry not see you guys In the Pentathlon btw . _________________ Team AnandTech - SETI, F@H, Muon1, MW@H, Asteroids@H, LHC@H, Skynet, Rosetta@H |

We could always jump in with SETIUSA.
Still trying to finish some Docking WU's too, though. _________________
