Hey all--

Can someone message the admin on WuProp please? Their forums has listed me as a spammer and I can't post or PM.

Also can someone link me the post with the badge credit/hours requirements please??

Thx

The badge consists of one to five stars depending on the number of applications for which you have returned data.

20 applications : 1 star
40 applications : 2 stars

They are very interesting on what they call an application. Like PrimeGrid's PPS LLR has two applications, but is only counted toward one badge on PrimeGrid, it counts as two projects on WUProp. Same with GFN and GFN-WR, etc.

I finally got my first badge there (after crunching since January), because I just do not move around projects as much as other people.

It is free credits though toward my count and our team count.

Shouldn't WuProp count their own app as a project though??? It's not in my list.

Pooh can you ask their admin why I am labelled as a spammer in their forums and can't send PM's please?

Thx

I would think so.

(You're not moonlighting in the glamorous Spam industry, are you?)

I am going to borrow this message since it is about WUProp.

The admin had just written in the forums that they are changing all the values of the stars to higher values. the lowest value for bronze looks like it will be 10000 hours. Which means most of us will lose our badges there, since it only took 100 hours to get bronze before. That's 100 fold. It was only 5000 to get sapphire. I am currently kind of close to an emerald star, then to have it all taken away? That's totally nuts. I urged them to rethink this. Am I wrong to want to keep what I worked so hard for?

I wrote a rant in agreement with you, then read the WU Prop thread linked below. I think you're misinterpreting what the admin wants to do. He is going to keep the current badge levels and ADD higher hour-level stars as stated in the 2nd post in the link. I suggested including a star equaling 1 year in each project. Sounds like he has decided against increasing the number of stars from 5 to 9. I think we can relax...

Following news is very impressive, 5K hours in each of 100 projects! Man, that dude is a badge monster - he also has 11 sapphires in WCG!

According to the thread below, a lot of people are getting this error message and no longer receiving WU's. Stay tuned.

Well.... my android devices went down for a day but came back doing:
WUprop Data collect version 4 v4.17
My current Windoz device is using:
WUprop Data collect version 4 v4.13
I think they are re-writing all the file versions and are randomly updating without notice or explanation or even so much as a thank-you-ma'am-you-were-great. Rolling Eyes

Yes, that problem has been asphyxiated, or in the vernacular "fixed". Ni!
