4. You leave your computer on 24/7 running BOINC
3. You leave your computer on 24/7 running nothing BUT BOINC
2. You tick "Use GPU while computer is in use" even though the computer slows to a crawl bordering on freezing when you do this
1. Your hard disk crashes and the first thing you do after reinstalling windows is reinstall BOINC. The next thing you do is... watch BOINC run on your shiny new rig while you can't even open office documents. _________________

You found ways to crunch on your phone, tablet, etc.
You wonder if there are Apps for your TV, BluRay player, etc.
You keep buying newer and faster rigs thinking you will retired the old, but keep them also.
You check your BOINC stats from your phone while in the bathroom.
OS or other updates mean you will lose some crunching time during a reboot.
You have been doing this since BOINC started and before on Classic SETI. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

You don't run your weekly Virus scan because it takes too much power...
You stop gaming for the same reason... _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

You teach the person that is checking your house (feeding your animal, etc.) to check your computers while you are on vacation.
You warm your house during the cold season by crunching more.
You dread the warm weather when you might have to conserve by shutting down machines.
Your spouse thinks you love the computers more than him/her.
You ask for new computer equipment for birthday, anniversary, christmas, other holidays.
You go through more cans of air than cans of dust remover (like Pledge).
You watch the prices on hardware several times a day in case there is that hidden sale.
You go into panic mode when your favorite project goes down unexpectedly.
You read upcoming maintenance schedule so you can adjust your queue to weather through it without losing a flop.
(Hrm, I may be a little addicted.) _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

The TV is always set at max volume so you can hear the dialogue over the computer fans. _________________

1. You reduce the video driver resolution to 1024 x 768 with the lowest color bit depth, hoping this will somehow dramatically improve WU throughput.
2. After nearly going insane while suffering through perpetual "maintenance" down time, watching WUs stack up in perpetual "suspended" purgatory, you actually dig deep and make the first substantial donation in your life to SETI-- actually writing and a letter pleading for them to use the enclosed check to increase bandwidth.
3. In the same letter, offer to double the amount if they can at least increase bandwidth to my computer, making it an official bribe.
4. Becoming so desperate to avoid stuck WUs, you actually download AutoHotkey and write a script to continually send menu commands to BOINC that suspend and re-activie network activity, forcing downloads to complete in a brutal damn-the-torpedoes act.

Screw the aliens, join folding@home. Since we are on v7 stuff runs smoothly.
If you find an alien to screw, the project is over anyway. If the aliens have all the answers on proteins, folding@home is over as well.
We can then all have a barbeque and discuss how nice our shrubberies are. Not too fancy, nicely arranged, ...
Cute Alpaca you're having there, btw. _________________ Ni! Ni!
