WTF?
Quote: |
10/19/2012 9:00:59 AM | eon2 | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
10/19/2012 9:00:59 AM | eon2 | No work sent
10/19/2012 9:00:59 AM | eon2 | Tasks won't finish in time: BOINC runs 99.3%% of the time; computation is enabled 82.6%% of that
|
It won't finish a 7 minute task in 24 hours?
It's only giving me 2 or 3 at a time _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Did you mess up your BOINC preferences and not request an entires day worth of work?

I have discovered that eOn is very fussy, especially if other projects are running. In order to get a consistent flow I had to suspend or reset other projects at first. If Maintain enough work for an additional X days is set to a high figure it will still only send one reserve WU per usable core.
They want their results back quickly so they can bootstrap the next WUs, (its all on their web site) When I'm running "Full Tilt" with 4 cores crunching aeOn there are only 4 WUs in reserve. On my main shrubber I receive only three because GPUgrid WUs retain partial cpus for the two graphics cards, On the KWSN-PoTM rig there is only one graphics card so it permits 4 because there is sufficient cpu core free.
You can get new WUs as soon as one is completed if you modify cc_config to include.
<options>
<report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>
</options>
I found that option to improve my turnaround considerably.

Where I was on 18 mile we called it Long Lake And I did live on 8 Mile once.
It was in Northville but technically its still 8 Mile. _________________

Yes it is Long Lake Rd. In Troy...
Don't they call 8 Mile "Baseline" out there...

eOn is very fussy about work. Just read the eOn forum for all the complaints! Even a machine with just eOn running will get only 1 extra WU per core. (I think it's spelled eOn because that's how it's spelled in Texas.)
