Me thinks you may be biting off more than you can chew...

Sir Junkie is actually quite "The Man" and would be above me in the Combined stats if not for a split ID.

You'd be doing twice as much if you changed to Linux on eOn.

I've stuck Puppy on a USB and run from that. Fat Dog is the same but 64 bit. Saves wiping out Windows/hard disc.
Might have troubles with GPU drivers though ...

Hurrah! Yip Yip Etc Etc.

After only losing half a day's work on GPUgrid, Linux Mint Maya is functioning on KWSN-POtM and shortly on main rig proto-Shrubber Mk I.
I managed to learn enough Linux syntax to get BOINC installed and running GPU tasks as well.

I am having a strange flashback to CP/M

Nevertheless my ability to assist in saving the Concrete Mixing Moose from an imminent rear end attack, and thus Dignity, on eOn has been enhanced.

My dignity disappeared a log time ago Crying or Very sad , but well done on trying out Mint.

Keep an eye on your GPU points, as Mildew mentioned Linux drivers not being so productive as Windows. Keep us up to date, old bean! Toodle pip!

You should write that up instructions, maybe we could make it a sticky in Brother Maynard's Pizzeria.

I will, but I'll admit some progress was hit and miss. I'll ensure it's replicable before I post.

That's what happens when you're too lazy to retype a sentence and try to edit the fewest words possible to change it. Razz

Also, don't re-read it before hitting 'submit'. Rolling Eyes
