It originally was a beta test site for Einstein, when that finished I think they had some hope to be used for other tests.

Currently it's a toy for the owner. He just passes out useless work whenever the mood hits him. Will it ever become more? He was working on some other project and I think it was going to be a testbed for that, but no news on that project has been heard for ages.

I hope that something else comes of it, but it's a fun pet project when they have work. I finally figured out out to adjust my systems to make it work most efficiently between other work being done.
