Connecting my laptop today, the PotM is DoA. Neither the site comes up in browser, nor can BOINC attach. Given the 30 task limit doesn't last long on a duel core, about to run dry
Course I do most days, considering this comp isn't on 24/7 and the duel core could process more then 30 per day, but that's another matter....
Edit: They're site has become responsive now.... _________________

My daily production for this would be somewhat higher if I were not trying to help with Muon at the same time. Hoping to return my Muon results within the next couple of hours and then do a complete switch to dDM to see if I can't push somewhere between 1000-1500 credits _________________

If I can get my Java issue sorted out I would help out. Just can't work out whats causing so many errors to crop up when JAVA is installed. Wish there was an easy way of showing the problems to JAVA without having to pay for a support licence _________________ What is that in the Shrubbery?

So many things have some form of dependence on JAVA that I am not sure what to delete and what to keep.
Deleted all instances of JAVA via control panel and re-installed to no effect.
Without JAVA there are several things that I am not able to run and with it installed it interferes with almost twice as many programs. GRRRR its driving me nuts and is the reason I had to stop dDM
Thinking that I need to go down a dual boot route one for JAVA requirements and one for stuff JAVA interferes with Errk not sure how to do that ATM.
Its annoying because I had 3 cores on the project doing about 4.7k per day when the troubles hit after updating JAVA.

There are 12 days left in this month.
There is a 5 day PG challenge starting today which is taking a bunch of us off this project.
Currently we are approximately 28 days away from taking #1.
With the PG challenge I suspect this will put us back a couple days.
So we'd need to crunch this project more than half of next month just to reach #1. If we crunched most of the month we'd have a small lead which could be easily taken over.
So what are people's plans? Can we get enough people on this project next month to get to #1? |

If KWSN applied full power this would get done in two weeks. Maybe if we can get the mysterious Dr. V's attention, but he seems to be incognito in the Swiss Alps, looking for faster than light particles?

For what my vote is worth Dist Data Mineing NEEDS more firepower to give KWSN an Xmas prezzie of #1 in ~30 days . Grizz will keep his miniscule fire power on ddm untill the new year at least .
Lets keep it going for another month , KWSN is not #1 in ANY project , so all of us (me ) "Slackers" need to get a move on .
KWSN tried for a #1 spot 2 years ago for Xmas in Travelling Salesman Project [now defunct] , but failed when the other "Jelious(*) Teams in it RAMPED big time for a laff . Mind you I did not have my all conker'in AMD triple core then , so to be expected .

There seems to be some issue with the latest Java update.
The Linux boxes are still okay, but Win7 keeps getting errors. _________________
