Sorry, quite a bit late on this...
Quote: | Laryngeal high-speed video classification (on-going)
The automatic identification of voice disorders is one particular field of interest of Daniel Voigt's work. Audio recordings of the acoustical voice signal are analysed with specialized software quantifying the amount of perturbation (noise) in the signal. Through automated feature extraction from the recordings and subsequent machine learning analysis, laryngeal movement patterns can be quantitatively captured and automatically classified according to different diagnostic classes.
Stock Price Prediction (on-going)
In this case study, we try to improve time series forecasting methods. In 2006, we started the analysis of Stock Market Data by using Artificial Neural Networks [5]. The results were published as book [6]. Later on, we could improve our results by applying Support Vector Machines[7]. In 2009, we started testing standard machine learning algorithm to build forecast models for Dow Jones, S&P500, German Stock Index and NIKKEI index. In addition, we try to extend existing approaches and develop new forecasting methods. Thereby, we will focus on aspects of temporal pattern evolution.

I received a couple EMails about my JAVA Install from the dDM folk...
Make sure you are current for your OS and make sure your Environment Variable is set properly.
Evidently my installing the latest version (for XP) did not set it at all!
I did it Manually, and asked them to let me know if it's working right now...

At our current rate we will not make #1 by the end of the month. In fact it will take approximately 3 months to get to #1.
If Poland notices and a few more of their members kick it up a few notches we may fall behind.
Just an observation. |

Interestingly enough I have not had this issue. I have the issue of my queue almost running dry because the new BOINC upload formula is really off the mark as it fails once and then doesn't seem try retry for who knows how long and I have to manually run it. |

Make a file in your BOINC directory called cc_config.xml
Paste this into it and save.
Code: | <cc_config>
<log_flags>
<coproc_debug>0</coproc_debug>
<sched_op_debug>0</sched_op_debug>
<work_fetch_debug>0</work_fetch_debug>
</log_flags>
<options>
<max_file_xfers>8</max_file_xfers>
<max_file_xfers_per_project>8</max_file_xfers_per_project>
<report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>
<save_stats_days>360</save_stats_days>
<zero_debts>1</zero_debts>
</options>
</cc_config>
|
This will make the results report immediately, and try to keep at least 1 day of cache. You won't run out then.... _________________
