Since both have something to do with the collider, isn't our time best spent on the LHC (since that one's BOINC)?
Noo-B wants to know... |
Errrrrrrrr'''rrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm - You are refering to His/HER time ? (Dr Vornoff ) ????
Boinc ? NetLux/Cern boxe's dooin't Boink Proper mehinks (just an assumption)

No, Grizz - Jus speaking for us kNIghtly-types... At least us Noo-B types!
Since we use BOINC, I just wanted to ask 'why run Muon?'
Sure, it's helpful to science and all, but I'd just like to keep it simple, y'know?
Thx for the info about CERN... Isn't it grrrrr8 what Herr Doktor has done for us?

EEEK! Just realised that without Dr.V we are going to be caught by Extreme pretty quickly!
I'm going to reallocate some of my ABC systems to try and makeup the shortfall (yeah, like I'm going to be able to make up for Dr.V with a just a couple of boxes... )

But LHC is only worth 3.3 DC-Vault points per place (and we're quite a way off the team ahead), whereas DPAD is worth 164 a pop.
(If anyone doesn't know, Vault scoring is 10,000 divided by the number of teams, so the less teams on a project, the better.) _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Thanks for the explanation, Al! I re-downloaded Muon1
I don't see where to 'Join' the team...
Is it necessary to have my name as '[KWSN] PhastPhred' instead of 'KWSN - PhastPhred'?

Okay, I've scrounged around and reallocated some stuff. I reckon I'm good for around about half a million Mpts per day (or about 0.15 DrVs to use a comparative unit )

Hmmmm..... |
Just looked back at Dr Vornoff's precision braking demonstration; talk about stopping on a sixpence!!
He was shrubbing at an average of 2½ million/day, a tad over 100,000/hour, 1,700/minute.
So to stop within 2,000 implies timing it to the minute, including taking into account Dr Brooks' own shrubbing rate (~110,000/day).
I'm impressed. Very impressed indeed.
Unless, of course, it was just luck/coincidence. But I think it would take quite a bit to persuade me in that direction.

Looks like Dutch Power Kows are trying to play the WIN game by over taking Team AnandTech to gain Vault position one in Muon.
Bit hasty methinks doing a co-ordinated "dump" (ie cache) of ~44,000,000 points in a single day , not like Dr Vornoff , who showed his/her power by a sustained daily output of ~3,000,000/day for 10 days . That sort of production cached for the Dr for 3 months that the DPKows have cached , would give a "DUMP" of ~ 270,000,000 points .
Anyways , Team Anantech are only 110,000 points behind DPKows as of today (position 2 in Muon) , but they have also been cacheing , so it will be interesting to watch over them the next week or so .
Regds Grizz.
PS: As is also the DPKows "SURGE" in other Vault projects this weekend . I.e. MJ12 , SOB Sieve and PSP Sieve , all high scoreing projects .
PPS: It is the 10th aniversary of the Dutch Power Kows This week , so this has probably been planed for some time . _________________ Oh Bugger Forgot again - or is it Oh Father Reboot again ?

"BUMP"
Team Norway just recently did a 10 month "cached" dump of ~600,000,000 (three major players in Norway) in Muon (gave them the number one spot in the Vault), and Team Russia invegled(*) a Nikolay Grigoryev to join them with ~400,000,000 points . This dropped KWSN down two places in Muon , a loss of 276 Vault points .
Drat !!
Regds Grizzly .
PS: If the good Dr V did a 10 month "cache" , it would be a
1800,000,000 point dump !

And the DPKows did a Major dump the last two days also (over 300,000,000) . But since they are number one in Muon anyhows , no probs
Regds Grizzly .
PS : Watch for Ars next , and a mini dump fromRussia . _________________ Oh Bugger Forgot again - or is it Oh Father Reboot again ?

Now that the 'big guys' have dumped, I'd think the timing right for our own Kindly Dr. Vornoff to show what he can do, especially with our newcomers never having heard of him!
Notice to N00B-s, Be seated when ya read what our buddy can do! Respect! Be in awe!!
