Do we really need that kind of threads?
As pointed out by SHoE above, finding images of scantily dressed women on the Internet is not difficult, so you could do it without the help of this forum.
If the images were to have a mainly humorous angle I would consider them more valid.
Are the threads scaring off new members, in particular those of the female persuasion?
If any of our current female visitors could make a post here about how you feel about it, that would help. If any one of you feel offended by the threads, I say they go.

Okay, I do wonder if we really need booby NSFW threads when there a many other places on the net that host that sort of stuff. On the other hand, they don't scare me off and I don't even bother looking at them most of the time because I'm not interested in looking at scantily clad females.
Silly risque jokes like the squirrel with no nuts are no problem for me at all.
I think the main thing is that this is a male-dominated team and a male-dominated forum so 'boys will be boys' and a little bit of NSFW will stop the boys from straying.
 
Editing to add - I think if the posters of NSFW stuff exercise some constraint and think before they post (and remember that it is a public forum that can be viewed by minors) there shouldn't be a problem unless someone is a complete puritanical wowser. I have no objection to a 'secret' forum if any of the guys want to post more risque images but I don't feel that sort of stuff is necessary for a distributed computing message board.
