Good racketeering job in creating a quadruple tie! Would like to complete this by Tuesday night 8/30 to give folks a day to switch over if necessary...

- understand diseases related to protein malfunction or aggregation
- develop new drugs on the basis of the three-dimensions structure of biologically important proteins.

- Harmonious Trees
Graham and Sloane proposed in 1980 a conjecture stating that every tree has a harmonious labelling, a graph labelling closely related to additive base. We do a computational approach to this conjecture by checking trees with limited size.
- ECM is a program for Elliptic Curve Factorization which is used by a couple of projects to find factors for different kind of numbers.
- Muon simulates and designs parts of a particle accelerator. You are simulating the part of the process where the proton beam hits the target rod and causes pions to be emitted, which decay into muons.
- evolution@home represents the first and so far only distributed computing project addressing evolutionary research. It simulates different types of populations and focuses on the analysis of human mitochondrial DNA.
- the distributed.net client and runs OGR work units. This project searches for the shortest Optimal Golumb Ruler of the length 27.

Still time for somebody to tie it yet again if they want. Thought we were going to end up with a three way tie to break the 4 way tie for a bit there but doesn't look that way now.
Yay for Looni ness _________________

'Twas I who caused the three way tie but it looks like that's gone.
I was hoping there'd be a 2 way tie to break the 3 way tie of the 4 way tie.
Oh well. _________________

I actually hadn't read the thread or checked the poll, before I ended up throwing a vote, and created a well 2 way tie..... Was true coincidence Course, I coulda voted yesterday, except it seems Irene had other ideas As it goes, she blowed a lil too much over the power and phone lines.... _________________

Why would we need another vote? Yoyo has 5, three losers with 3 each, two with 1 each, and the untouchables with 0.

Whatever, picked up a couple of Yoyo WU's yesterday and been running them, or trying to. One has run for 6 hours already and only made 33% progress, but its Muon so it jumped up to that fairly quickly and has stayed there since. The other is an evo which is going up by .001% each time it updates so it'll take a while _________________

yep my Muon still sitting at 33% after 9 CPU hrs. my evo has moved up to ~ 7 % after 3 CPU hrs
EDIT. So at nearly 10 CPU hrs boinc switched tasks from the Muon one to a Moo WU and the Muon got pushed up to 40% xD also only 19 hrs eta on it now instead of 23 hrs and counting up _________________

OK then, just hope the WU's are more consistent then Malaria had been last month, as I can't keep this putter online 24/7 Had to manipulate BOINC some and still went dry before I could get the thing back on the Internet with some WUs taking 8+ hours and the client upping the estimate instantly, and others taking 45 minutes, and the estimate but dropping slowly.
Well here's to hoping my queue remains occupied for my shrubber here, lol and in either case good ridance to Malaria for now _________________

Can we NOT do Yoyo.
Had to reboot twice today for various reasons and my WU have gone down from around 40% to 6%.
Seems like there's a checkpointing issue with evo at least
Can't figure out how to get onto their forums. It's asking for a username and password (they're using phpBB).
I hearby remove my vote for Yoyo and place it on Cosmology _________________

I'm with Clark here. My Muon WU has elapsed the following amount of time
18:34:32(10:30:36) according to BoincTasks. Either number is really high for having only shrubbed 40% of a single WU. I understand that some WUs take lots of time but I can't see any progress moving except that my ETA for it is now up to 21:53:10 which means its reverse progress I think I'll run a Cosmology alongside this krazy Yoyo and see which finishes first and then decide from there _________________
