The i5-2500K is pretty damn fast, typically draws ~56W under load.
I haven't tried the i7-2600K yet.

Why the heck would a shrubber need 4.8TB of 15,000RPM HD's? BOINC's never even used 1GB on any of my shrubbers.
10 6GB/s drives, 2 6GB/s ports?

What are the BBC links for?
Do you have shrubbers crunching different projects? Attach them to the same projects to help BOINC match them up.

I work for the world's best known broadcaster, hence the links...blatent plug!! and split cpid looks like it's fixed.....all projects ( I hope) now running on one cruncher....satellite machines are coming back into the fold! So........8,000,000 in a day or so!!!! (hopefully)  _________________
