'Tis a brilliant idea but I too am only boincing cpu style. Is there a "Team Nymphet loves spanking" that only does Seti?
A visit from some Knights would be just right!

?SETI? no green men please. Something more cientific like "the influence of the growing potatoes on the creation of Arab horse". Maybe Acqua, Dna or Dnetc are better. I will give a good Idea YOYO is a good one.

From what I read, this has nothing to do with helping other teams, just aggregating statistics for sub-teams. Confused

I would like very much to know english enough for that sentence but i will try in the best of my capabilities.

If you put your team as a subteam like I do, you can go to other team, like I am in here. And my crunching will benefit both teams.

I am crunching Moo Wrapper with you so my 4,5M are in the account of the Knights but continue counting for [TeaM] or Musketeers.

Anyway if you use [KWSN] with your "name" you can crunch in any other team and the credits will benefit your team the same. So there is no excuse not to help smaller teams.

I know I was not clear enough sorry for my limited english. If you want I will invite Bok to talk about this matter.

Ric

I believe you're mistaken.

As best I understand it, any points you generate while attached to KWSN in Moo (thanks Wink ) will go to KWSN, but your 4.5M stay with whichever team(s) you were attached to at the time they were earned.

Sub-teams are recognized by neither BOINC client nor server software. It's being implemented by Bok interpreting the [ and ] in the name field as signifying membership in a sub-team within that member's team and totaling them. It doesn't give a point to the team and another to the sub-team or another team. If it did, you would be earning twice as many team points as people not using sub-teams for the same WU's.

It was not what I understand but you maybe are wright. I thought that only WCG had that count. I crunch in PBToys as many others and the points are not there. I crunched for Sicituradastra and my points came with me except WCG. I am going to see that better and will tell you something later.

Let me start by saying, long time no see all of you. Sorry for that, as I know many of you are fun to crunch with. We at the Musketeers do this help out other teams to help the boinc community gain better computations and folks who like me just like to meet new folks and get to know their team. Really guys its fun. Try it you will like it... Laughing

Any who howdy again.

Well, we might have some spare gnomes that could be roasted rotisserie style... Though gnome is rather small, so perfect for the munchies, but would take a fair few to fill ya up #ni-1

What about that team we taunted by mistake? They were small, and have a forum. overclockers or something?

Oh yeah, OverClockers. We foolishly taunted them in Rosetta as they zoomed past us and are now about to crack 100 million in that project. Yep helping them in Rosetta would be another loonie idea...

No, the one you went to by mistake. One was overclockers.com and the other was overclockers.net or something. The smaller team might be a good candidate.

Ouch! That's like ripping the bandage off a bucket o' embarrassment! Here's the thread where I taunted overclock.net and posted a graph from a different team!

http://www.overclock.net/overclock-net-boinc-team/930619-rosetta-ni-ni-ni-rosetta.html

Here's the corresponding KWSN thread.

http://www.kwsnforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=16390&sid=8862febb03685ca41e22605ecef13553

So Gemjunkie's suggestion is we join overclock.net and shrub for them. I notice they conveniently have a thread for July PotM. What they do is pick the 3 projects where they have the lowest ranking, and attempt to boost those up. Don't snicker at those numbers, Overclock.net is # 3 in Folding. Shocked Heh, just ahead of overclockers.com. Embarassed

Here are the 3 Projects of The Month for July 2011:

Leiden Classical - July 1st rank: 406
SETI@Home - July 1st rank: 548 *Supports Nvidia and ATi/AMD GPUs*
WUProp@Home - July 1st rank: 319 *Non-CPU intensive project*

Goals for end of the month:
Leiden Classical: Top 200
Seti@Home: Top 500 (Let's do it this month!)
WUProp@Home: Top 150

Don't think I've ever heard of WUProp@Home....

What do the Musketeers say about this?

Wow, I got the impression at the time that they were a much smaller team. They don't look like they need much help, either technical or in firepower. Confused

Back to the drawing board?

Here's an interesting idea that will probably inspire veggie throwing in my direction. How 'bout we help the Flaming Birdies win # 1 in Docking? They're about 1.6 million behind Planet 3D Now, who is near the top in every project. We could help one small but powerful hyper-focused team get to # 1. Or we can help them crunch about 800K to win 25 Formula Boinc points.

Ni + Hi Sir LD !!

Thats a D**m good idea , KWSN had a lot of fun with the Burning Birds way back , with excellant (and very good natured Tanuts on both sides Very Happy in Docking ) .
Gets my vote !!

Now all I have to do is refigure how BOINC works , you may have noticed that Grizz don't use BOINC Shocked . Tooo old I guess Embarassed
I'm willing to chuck ~20 off i7 cores at it . Don't know what that will translate to in BOINC pointage , but will impact my Muon production big time Rolling Eyes HoHumm - Phenix(*) certainly needs the boost !!
