To see who's on the team visit:

http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/team_display.php?teamid=699

We are definitely there and we definitely have over 400k credit.

It'll be great to have some more company on this project and see us race up the league table Very Happy

Why do you need BOINCstats to connect to RNAworld? Confused

BOINCstats seemed to be down this morning but then it was back online but very slow to respond.

If I attach by hand it detaches when it updates Boinc Manager with Boinc Stats

Anyway I'm in.... #ni-1

...this is a problem of the BAM account manager, not RNA World. Wink

If you guys experience any problems, let us know. Unfortunately, we are in the middle of a transition to completely new work sets. However, so far things seem to run smoothly. Wink

Michael, you don't have a GPU app yet, and I set my project preferences to not use a GPU but every so often my comps go on a 'Request new tasks for GPU' spree. Confused

That is normal and a bug of the BOINC manager which will aks for GPU work even if you disable it in our (or other project's) settings. To remove that problem you would need to edit some XML settings but I would recommend to just ignore these messages as they do no harm.

That is actually very strange. I do this every day when moving my laptop home from work and back in the morning. I hope you have activated the "leave application in memory" settings? Otherwise it won't work.

Michael.

current best one for me pending with 2102.35 credits claimed. When it comes through it will yield quite a bit more than that. Very Happy

Run time 288,779.03 CPU time 284,515.05

total time 3 days 2.9 hrs Very Happy

Before the new CMSearch XXL WU's, WU's were anything upto 1000 hrs Very Happy Uber credits though I never got one that long.

Although only rarely, but such WUs can still arrive on your machine. Cool If that should happen, make sure you don not run multiple of these in parallel unless you know exactly what you are doing, i.e. RAM-wise...
The problem here is that BOINC lacks a mechanism to properly estimate hardware requirements (especially RAM) when single-threaded applications queue up - they are basically started according to deadline judgements which is quite primitive.

Michael.
