Here's the initial list...
ABC
Edges / non DC Vault
Einstein
Folding / non-boinc
Majestic 12 / non-boinc
Malaria Control
Milky Way
Muon 1
RNA World / non DC Vault
Vacation - No PotM
We deleted some projects last month (RSA Lattice Sieving and Sudoku), so the list appears skimpy, but still offers 9 projects + vacation. Any projects to add or delete? What about Cosmology? Any Tanuting opportunities must be added.
Also deleted two Quests, agree?
Quest for # 1 in Distributed Data Mining
Quest for 1 Billion SETI Points
PrimeGrid Challenge is only 24 hours in June... |

Add Spinhenge possibly? We're not that far from taking over the #10 spot:
10 Canada 65,908.02 24,027,921.42 Canada
11 The Knights Who Say Ni! 61,284.58 23,379,923.13 International _________________

The Spinhenge WUs are generally short as well.

Quest for Numero Uno on the dDM Project is a worthy cause if we can make it stick
Just think that if we do it will help us to maintain our current 25 points on Formula BOINC. Those points represent almost 50% of our total FB points because we have shrubbed more credits than any other team this year so far on that project.
On Formula BOINC we are currently lying 18th overall. So maybe we need to look at how we can move up the league table there.

I am sure there are plenty of people who would be capable of donating a little shrubbing time each day to ensure that could be a reality. At present we only need a total of about 55k per day to hold position. After my puter was sorted out I had enough WU's to shrub for almost 1 day and returned about 4k's worth of completed WU's. I would be happy to give 1 or 2 days per month to assist keeping us in 1st position once we have achieved that goal.
Also be happy to give 50% of my puter time to dDM as PoTM, as well as RNA World to keep us heading into Formula BOINC point scoring positions and helping out on PrimeGrid challenges.
BTW we are now in 40th position on RNA World and by the time the next PoTM arrives we should be in 38th position.

There's a few new-ish projects it may be worth considering:-
Constellation (~½ requested credit, validation delay can be quite long)
Mersanne (yet another primes project, ~ requested credit)
DNA@home (~ 2x requested credit)
Moo!Wrapper (GPU project, doing the same as DNETC, quite good credit)
+ several others, but they have only intermittent work.
What, me a credit 'Ho? _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

I tried DNA@Home a few weeks ago and it had very little work. Are these projects ready for prime time?
Spinhinge has already been PotM. Trying to get through new projects before repeating any. Although we can open it up any time KWSN decides to, probably when the short list is of little interest... |

I'm involved loosely with DNA@Home. I'll see if their WU load can handle an assault by us _________________

I've not been doing this for very long so I don't have the knowledge of a bunch of different projects, but I am willing to take a shot at accumulating shrubs for whatever project we end up deciding on _________________

From Travis at DNA@Home:
Quote: | It could handle it, but there wouldn't be enough workunits to go around. We're only sending them out in limited batches as we're still in more of a testing mode. --Travis |
