I keep running out of work--apparently we're overstressing their WU output

Just expand the cache... I'd monitored it a bit, and noticed that they don't seem to keep WUs in bulk on the server, but they do generate them fairly fast. The result would be that there might be 50 WUs on the server, one collects 25, so it dips to 25. But if one refreshes the page a few seconds latter it's back up to 50... Actually this month they do seem to hold a few more on at a time. The work generation seems to be quick enough that if one extends to cache to hold a larger number of WUs at a time, they probably won't run out.

I haven't run out, but with a duel core proc, I've probably got 30-50 WUs saved up on my computer at any one time. I saw their site report 0 units, and not very long, as it was back up to 30 or 40 units in a matter of seconds, refreshing their web page. I'm just gathering they don't want to use up the hard drive storage space to keep a store of WUs, when they can generate them almost instantly...

Server seems to be down. Sad

One shrubber out of work, 2 hrs. left on a second, 14hrs. on a third, 16 hrs. on the fourth.

Yeah, this sucks. I still have WUs, but if it isn't fixed before tonight I'll have to snag a little work from another project to keep it busy.

At present, my computer isn't sitting at home (Internet not hooked up yet), so I wouldn't be back until tomarrow to tend to it, after say 10 or 11 hours.

Set the cache to 0 and select a project with short WU's to keep busy.

I tried a set of PG's TRP LLR WUs on the new i5 shrubber, all 4 finished just under 5 hrs.

Have 2 WUs to upload, and getting an unable to open database error; but still have 24 hours? of WUs left before it becomes a problem. Maybe 18, but with look they'll address latter today.

Looks like their database is out, so no new work units or reporting of completed work. Looks like I'll be out of work in less than 45 minutes...*sigh*
