Will aim the mooses at DNETC for awhile...couple questions...
Is there some kind of united BOINC account I need to set up for multiple projects, or is just joining the Knights at every project sufficient?
Is there a command to get DNETC to run multiple GPU units at the same time like I can with SETI? Right now it looks like it's lobbing all my GPU's at one WU at a time. |

Just joining the Knights at every project should be sufficient.
There's also Boinc Account Manager (aka BAM)
boincstats.com/bam/
As for DNETC doing multiple GPU's I dunno that-sorry _________________

Yes, one WU at a time. Does it really matter? Each gets done about twice as fast.

I don't use the Boinc Account Manager any more, had problems with projects detaching themselves, not sure if BAM was to blame but haven't had the problem since I stopped using it.

Well, the newest NVidia Fermi cards seem to task switch very well...running multiple work units per GPU in SETI@home leads to increased output (within reason).
With my GTX 570 I run one SETI WU in about 10.5 minutes, 2 at a time in 14 minutes, and 3 at a time in about 19 minutes...it falls apart at 4 at a time due to switching overhead robbing more clock cycles than it gains you.
Maybe the structure of a DNETC work unit is such that it doesn't matter over there...but it would be nice to be able to check. For now though, it does appear it is "all for one" in the GPU realm. |
