@ Fang - I did notice. I've got just one Linux box running at the mo, and it was generating ~4½K/day on Docking (fending off Sir Fred) as opposed to only ~1½K/day on WEP, so I submitted to a spanking. One day, when I've nothing better to do, I may return the favour, but don't hold your breath.

No worries,
a new school term started this week and I had to stop running two ICT suites full of dual-core (though rather slow) boxen to make way for lessons...Just pleased to have taken top spot in the team (be it a small team).
Ni!

Started a little attack in orbit a while ago ....... now it seems that I'll pass Al in a few days .....
I've reduced Spinhenge production though I'll try to get the 10.000.000 mark this year (Collatz will be the first 10.000.000 project soon).
First goal for orbit is 1.000.000 shrubs.
Cheers

Hey Tippi,
didn't know that cows like a good PGGB that much .....
How is it in the Ne(v)therlands, I guess all is well remembering all the neat camping cars with those yellow license plates this summer here at the good old Mosella river.
Cheers

Pah dastardly ..... that's the only chance I have regarding your machine park ......
I'll do my best for a little challenge as you see ...... but I guess the number one spot will be just a temporary one.
So I'll lean back, having a PGGB and wait for the tings to come ......
Cheers

Rightyo, I'll take it back in about 3 to 4 months. Only ranked 35th in the US myself. Grats as well on UK 4th. _________________

Looks like John Galt 007 will be passing us both. At least we have more people on the project now. _________________

I hadn't noticed that; I've just put one shrubber on it to pull myself back into the Top 100.
I twisted Bok's arm to add that useless stat to Free-DC a month or so ago, and I've since dropped from 42/7th to 39/9th, so I need another few to restore my pride.

Where do you find that stat and what do the numbers mean? _________________

It's in the Mega Milestones bit -
This is yours
Mine
& John's
I notice you've got 1 Top 100 (ORE), but it doesn't appear to be showing up, I've no idea why. If you want to make an issue of it, try the "Submit Bug/Request" link.
As this is about the only stat where I've got a chance of staying in the World Top 10, I'm tending to use it to sway my project choice. The fact that I'm a battle-hardened Project 'ho has nothing at all to do with it.
[edit]I've just noticed that John and I seem to have it pretty-well sewn up - I'm KWSN #1 from 250k down, John has everything from 500k up. Come on kaNi!gitts, we could do with a bit of a challenge.[/edit] _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Sir Al,
I'd gladly take you up on the challenge. The only requirements are for you to stop crunching in a project (with the exception of you re-assigning some of your shrubbers in my name) and I will put all my effort into that project. In return, I will allow you to pick the project!
Do we have a deal? _________________

Sometime in December I'll pass up two spots to become 8th in the team, but its hard to match a large computer farm compared to two computers hehe.

I'm now tied with you for the 10 Mil mega milestones if that counts for anything. The same four even, John has 6. _________________

Well Done, that man (I assume you're male).
I've currently got 6 GPUs on PrimeGrid, doing ~600k/day; that's now up to ~15 mil, so I think it's about time to put 3 HD4850 on MW or DNET (~¼mil/day) to start moving them up to the 50mil mark, and leave 3 GTS250 (~375k/day) on PG.
That should leave me, come Aug/Sept, with 4 projects @ 50mil. Then I'll have to decide which to start moving towards 100M.
Decisions, decisions.
Of course, the above assumes that power costs*/cooling**/blow-ups don't interfere.
On the CPU front, I'm afraid I may be challenging you in Edges again. I've got 3 projects (Yoyo, Edges & NFS) where I'm close to dropping out of the top 100, so next month may mean sitting out the PotM and concentrating on those; I've also got Sir Fred getting a bit close in Docking, so there's another one needing attention.
I can tell you that it's no fun being so good - people keep trying to knock you off your perch, and I don't intend to become a Norweigan Blue.
* currently running at ~ £7 (~$10) per day!!!
** It's mid-winter, I've got no heating on, and windows open 24 hours to keep the temp reasonable. Gawd knows what it's going to be like in 6 months time. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Don't worry about passing me on Edges, as long as I can stay in the top 100 I'm fine with that. All I have is one quad core amd for cpu power. My two GPUs can do 600-700k a day on primegrid if I let them run it. The HD5850 is running a mix of milkyway, collatz, and dnetc(once I get collatz to 25 mil). The GTX 470 is running seti and primegrid. Seti@Home on gpu gets a high pending wu count fast, primegrid is helping to keep it down. It was around 85k pending at one point in the matter of two to three weeks. The tower alone on this system uses around 350 KWh a month. I pay my renter a extra $100.00 a month to cover the cost. _________________
