Signed up for DNETC, but I've a lot of doubts about this 'project', for a start
I can't post a single message, sends you to the INLOG-Page(looping) it CLAIMS your whole host and doesn't respond to anything.
When I stop BOINC, DNETC, happily crunches away
Can't even stop a process in Taskmanager, it simply starts another process, uses all CPU's & GPU's
This is INSANE and thus will remove this HIJACK from my host!!!
Has any of the Knights have had similar 'events' , or am I just clumsy.....
A bit pissed of, by such behavior and had to vent this _________________ Fired, Wandering, Silicon Knight , STOP war & greed, N! Ni .

You can go into client configuration and let it know how many cores it can use. In Linux there is also a way to set it's niceness so you can use the machine for other things as well. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Tried a few possebillities, but I'm still not satisfied, so I'll read and try some more
It keeps using both CPU, 4 cores(Q6600) and 2 different GPU, a ATI 4850 and 5870.

Gotta admire it's work ethic, though.
Don't use BOINC, use the distributed.net clients.

They're reasonably well-behaved.
