Last month I mentioned voting only on "virgin" projects that have never been POTM. A couple of folks thought that would be interesting. If so, I think the list would look like the following. We have run a couple of these like Collatz and Milky, but only as part of the Pentathlon competition. Let me know if I've forgotten a virgin or if you prefer the standard complete list. We could do this in July and August, then in September it's probably back to Prime Grid since there's a 13 day challenge.
ABC
Aqua
Climate
Collatz
Cosmology
Einstein
Malaria Control
Milky Way
Rosetta
SETI
Spinhenge

Yes, Quantum Monte Carlo was POTM December 2009. Not surprising you would confuse gambling and virginity!

I don't think Malaria is producing much work at the moment, so probably not worth including.
You've missed uFluids and Yoyo (I know we've had a splurge on Yoyo before, but not as a PotM).
There are also a few newer projects - DNETC, distributedDataMining, EDGeS, RSA Lattice Siever, RNAWorld & Magnetism (recently awoken from a comatose state).

I vote for WEP M2 (wanless2) as a PotM for us GNU/Linux chaps (and chapesses). With a little effort we could make up quite a number of places.
....Or a vote for genlife (I may have found a spankingly good dedicated server to run it on at last) Hurray
Ni!

OK I missed uFluids, but Yoyo was POTM August of 2009.

None of those are in the DC Vault, do we want to go there again?
Genetic Life has also been POTM, but we could make a special case for that one...
Need a quick ruling on some of this stuff.... |

Personally, I've been on a more of a Vault kick lately. But I would go for Genlife, if it was brought back online. I'm pretty open minded though and am usually willing to go whichever way the Ni!s bounce. _________________

If we stay with the Vault, this list currently looks like this (Malaria deleted, uFluids added):
ABC
Aqua
Climate
Collatz
Cosmology
Einstein
Milky Way
Rosetta
SETI
Spinhenge
uFluids
Do we want to include the following non-Vault projects?
DNETC
DistributedDataMining
EDGeS
RSA Lattice Siever
RNAWorld
Magnetism
Perhaps we could run all 6 of those non-vault projects in one month and see what happens...
We have to wait on GenLife 'til it's actually running and processing work... |
