Well, I just made a nice find over at Primegrid, on the PSA sub-project, SGS/PRPnet sub-sub-project.
Code: | Primes and PRPS for User KWSN-MajorKong
Candidate Client Date Reported Decimal Length
40940077078815*2^666666-1 Q6600win7-64 05/19/10 04:59:17 200700
User KWSN-MajorKong has found 1 prime |
It made the 'top 5000 largest known prime numbers' list easily, entered at better than 1800th place. _________________

Well I only have a farm of one, and it is not exactly a fast shrubber either.

lol, join the club, though I don't have a GPU. Actually I was looking at the length of his sig, and comparing it to yours
I'm gathering you're in just about every project? _________________

Not every project their are a few that I can't do like EDGeS@home since I do not have enough RAM.

Thanks, Guys!
It looks like I got a few other items of note:
1. Today, I hit over 500,000 PrimeGrid credits.
2. Today, I noticed that I had hit over 1,000,000 Combined BOINC credits.
3. A few days ago, my piece-of-crap laptop found a prime on the top 5000 list (PrimeGrid project, PPS sub-project):
8303*2^507825+1... only has 152875 digits and entered the top 5000 list at place 4885.
Thats 2 currently on the list, with a total of 10 that have been on the list.
Don't worry about only having a farm of one slow computer. My q6600 is just middle of the road now, and the laptop is 5x slower than one core of my q6600. I have a decent GPU (nVidia 9600GT) on the q6600, but I don't use it for BOINC anymore due to heat issues. It got bit by that bad driver nVidia put out a couple months ago, and now overheats from time to time without any BOINC-stress, just playing the occasional 3d-heavy game if I forget to go into the settings and adjust the gpu fan to manual 100%. And yes, it is clean.
I am not, by any means, a 'heavy hitter'... _________________
