Well, this team had it's roots in SETI (which is where BOINC came from), but we're fast hitting the point where saying we're a SETI team doesn't exactly hold
Thanks to the introduction of GPU processing, we're fast turning into a Milkyway team
http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_team_graph.php?pr=bo&id=6
But if we look at more recent time periods (that's total):
and
Probably the last week was largely switching machines to Collatz for the Pentathalon, as that was the latter of the 2 GPU projects in it.
Well, both projects are related to space
And oh yeah, we're not far off from 2 billion credits (should hit within < 2 weeks). _________________

Wedll our SETI team might have the most overall credits for awhile, it is also the biggest team in terms of members. Every old BOINC team is probably a SETI team down to its core.

Not to mention the top 5 or 6 of those all have GPU apps. Numbers don't tell the whole story. In terms of hours you would see a totally different map. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.

True GPU aps are making the difference (well Einstein doesn't have one but we did have a Pentathalon); but in a way that was my point
The GPU apps have changed the nature of it all... _________________

Einstein does have a gpu app, it just requires a cpu core also. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Now that, is a little convoluted
We should convince the Einstein staff to join us here, on our own team; given the above they'd fit in perfectly _________________

Well now,
I didn't join this team because of seti....
...In the very dim distant past I recall running dnet and seti as my first dc projects...
...you only have to see my seti totals to appreciate that (and my dnet (original app, not this new fangled boinc-like wrapper) stats have been hit by someone finally finding that old server I left running when I left CPW some 4 years ago).
........Um, what was my point....I can't remember now...
...oh,yes, well buying a graphics card with a GPU comes to us all (just as does replacing your GNU/Linux distro with Ubuntu does and hopefully replacing your (you all know who you are) windoze 'OS' with said Ubuntu)...
though I bought an NVIDIA card, it was mainly because the graphics card integrated on my motherboard was shocking (a beautiful oscilloscope effect obscured the desktop), but also because, rather to my disgust, I've tumbled out of the top 6,000 in the world (down to around 11,000) because of these GPU based apps I was unable to run.
Ni!
