Here's your chance! Another new project, dnetc@home. A wrapper for DNET using the RC5 project, not doing OGR. This project allows gpu processing (including ATI). No team for the Knights yet... it's up for grabs.

Team is created due to Wabbit's involvement in the recent UN scandal and possible violations of rule #4!

What a shame....dnet used to run on a huge array of OS and hardware when it was a standalone app....the current BOINC wrapper is Windows only....how the once might Dutch Power Cows have fallen. _________________ Listen; Strange women laying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government.

dnetc as a standalone app still supports a ton of platforms. Maybe they just haven't gotten all their boinc wrappers done. I hope. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

After further review, yes I think these are only GPU work units. I wonder if they will go to CPU in the future? _________________

Yes, I know...I had a machine sitting quietly inside a datacentre of a company I used to work for and it produced output for 3 years on a faithful FreeBSD box - and then last year in August a) they found it and switched it off; b) there was a power failure; c) the machine finally crashed (would have recorded 1000+ days uptime before doing so).
Ni!

One is a notebook old p3 700 Mhz, so no luck there. The other is a netbook with a ati 3200, which boinc will not show as having an gpu. _________________

Are the wus taking twice as long now, or is it just time for me to reboot the machine. They were around 35 minutes now closer to 60 on the ati 5k ones. _________________

They have been taking about 60 min for a 5k on my 5770. That's been true ever since the 5k started, and is still the same now. Maybe you forgot to feed the hamsters? _________________

I normally do it in 36-40 minutes on a overclocked 5850 for those. Seems to be back to normal now. 9 minutes for the normal ones. _________________

Perhaps, just perhaps the cows got taken down a notch after the EPA did a study on their methane emissions and demanded they cease and desist their burping and acts of flatulence; else they'd be turned into chopped liver and steak _________________
