We could also try to rigg the British election.

What will the projects for the Pentathlon projects be?

And the first has been announced...

http://www.setigermany.de/blog/lang/en/category/boinc-pentathlon/

Code:
We herewith announce the 1st project in the discipline of Physics & Chemistry.

The relevant project is Einstein@Home. All credits granted between
05/05/2010, 0.00 (UTC) and
05/10/2010, 0.00 (UTC) will be taken into the BOINC Pentathlon validation. Please note that with a lot of projects it usually takes a while before credits are granted!

Crap....it's Einstein....we voted for QMC.... Crying or Very sad

EDIT: Just created an account and joined the team....

so it's not like PG challenge, right? I don't have to wait to download them till the thing starts, right?

And do I have to register or something?

I mean... I could Cache like 20 days of results and upload them at the beginning, Twisted Evil Right?

OK it's clear we want to do the Pentathlon. But let's keep voting to see what the back up plan is. Do we want to crunch Docking? Or do kanigits prefer to crunch any project when the Pentathlon isn't running next month? Right now it's t tie...

We probably need to work on an overall strategy for the Pentathlon. I'm game for just sticking out with Einstein for the back up since we'll shrub that one first anyway.

This one's for you guys to pick. I am getting ready to do my summer shut-down (unless business gets a LOT better soon), I can afford the CPU power or the AC needed, but not both. #Microwave

Hey, somebody should make a thread about the pentathlon so we can pull all our loony brains together! #ni-1

http://www.kwsnforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=14784

P.S. I vote for free-for-all as the back up. (Along with tatas which I mentioned before and the pentathlon which I actually voted for) I need more usernames!

But the Pentatholon is many projects spread over a period of so many days. A perfect example of our looniness of changing. Also I believe it is only credits granted during those 5 days, with Einstein we will get a lot of support from people who do not visit the forum but crunch.

Let the BS begin Twisted Evil

I predict that this pentathlon thingie will not last the full run.... #ni-1

Why don't you think it will last the full run?

Rather than make a separate thread, I'll just announce it here:

The Pentathlon Challenge is POTM for May. See separate thread for strategery...

Since the Pentathlon already involves quite a bit of project switching back and forth, the back up project for the rest of the month will be "Vacation/Free for all", i.e. whatever each kanigit wants to crunch...
