|
|
This is a special election due to the Pentathlon Competition hosted by SETI.Germany.
Quote: | 1st BOINC Pentathlon
from 05/05/2010 to 05/19/2010
5 disciplines 1 winner
Just like in ancient Greece we'll also perform this BOINC Pentathlon by running 5 different disciplines. This means within 2 weeks the participants will need to crunch 5 different projects, each for 5 days.
The team achieving the most points in all disciplines will win the BOINC Pentathlon. But of course there will also be a winner chosen for each single discipline.
http://www.setigermany.de/boinc_pentathlon/22_en_Welcome.html
|
So the vote goes something like this - if Pentathlon wins, that will be our primary focus. Whatever program comes in second will be the backup program when the Pentathlon isn't running. If Vacation/Free for all comes in second, crunch whatever you want when Pentathlon isn't running.
If a project other than the Pentathlon wins, that's what we'll crunch during the month. If Vacation/Free for all wins overall, no POTM this month...
Vote carefully - if this doesn't work out, especially since we can vote only once (not for both Pentathlon and a backup), well that's why this is a "special" election. |

Pentathlon
@LanDroid, Are you going to register the team? I recommend going ahead and registering us if you're going to be the point of contact. _________________

Now down to one Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 that's in a tiny case and overheats if I actually try to use all four cores at the same time. On the other hand, it makes for a very nice home theater PC

I registered a few weeks ago, and am the POC for the team... |
Thanks. I didn't want us left out over some administrative detail. _________________

Good choices except Docking Not really a fan of that project after the PoTM fiasco a year to so ago. _________________

I was mainly refering to the whole taunting then getting our butts handed to us by Phoenix Rising incident. Wasn't that in Docking? _________________
