A bit of a plea for IBERCIVIS.

It's not in the Vault (yet, but probably deserves it), but we could make some serious inroads.

I've been shrubbing it at ~1500/day for the last 6 weeks or so (~80K added), and we've moved up 30 places (104 to 73).

If we could add ~2 million (which seems to be about what we achieve with a lowish, 1¼x WCG, scoring project), we'll be knocking on the door of the top 10, so it could be quite spectaclear - up 90-odd places in 3 months. We'd also average something like 2 places/day.

After this month's pretty dismal +1 place, the KWSN Potty* Team deserve a bit of glory.

whats the memory requirements Sir Al... also any enhanced 64 bit clients.... GPU if we're lucky?

I'm currently upgrading all my PC's to 64 bit OSs,

Mac OSX snow leopard,
Windows 7,
Windows Server 2008 r2!
no linux though.....

for the primegrid challenge, so a 64bit enhanced POTM would be nice....

The short answer is "Dunno, mate".

All my shrubbers are 32-bit, so I haven't been much interested in looking; but I've just had a quick scan of the site, and can't find the "standard BOINC" application list. The nearest I've found is this, which just gives an overview of the many projects they're running. Definitely no GPU though.

Memory:- adsorcion ~¾ - 2½M, nanoluz ~35M, amiloide ~62M (that's all I've got running at the mo.

For 64 bit apps, I've often referred to this thread: http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=1774 I've been running Ibercivis on the side with Win 7 64 and it sends work. According to the above list, there is no benefit to running 64 bit, but you will get work (unless they run out, which has happened to me in short intervals (less than a day))

Another thought would be Simap. Looks like they will have work again for March, but history shows it prob. won't last the whole month.

I was thinking more along the lines of Aqua, they have Fokker-Planck apps for 1+ cores and the regular Aqua apps for 4+ cores. Supposed to pay well although I haven't run it for quite awhile.

I am going to cast an early vote for Prime Grid for April. Long challenge coming up. Ni!

I have run a few aqua, they pay remarkably well, it uses all the cores for a single wu and the long ones take about 4-5 days on my 940 black, but it payed 34k credits.... WOW

No sooner said than done. Very Happy

I've shown theoretical Vault gains for IberCivis if it were in the Vault (Hint, Hint, Yankton)

OK I'll try to get the ballot up tonight. Sorry about being so late again...

We pared the ballot way back a few months ago, here's a list that we deleted due to lack of work, instability, GPU based, or just plain ol' lack of interest. Anything we want to add back on?

Climate
Collatz
Cosmology
Leiden Classical
NQueens
Milky Way
SETI
Superlink

On IberCivis, let's check the DC Vault board, does it look like it will be added? If so I think we would get a jump in points for what we've accumulated...

Add Milkyway back onto the potential list. As well as Cosmo.

You can put POEM back. We ran up the standings and scared the top members quite nicely.
