OK the energy companies have won.... well they've lost actually as my power bill crossed the £400 mark last quarter... that's £1600 or a damn good holiday... so the farm's being run down to just 1 shrubber a Q6600 with 2 GPU's
I might reinvent another Q6600 build with the ATI card for MW but I want keep running costs down.....
I'm still around, just producing less now.

Wot 'e said ^
I'm in a similar position at ~£650/qtr. I'll keep it up this month, but I think my 10 non-GPU duallies will get mothballed then.
But that would mean I could still bring ~6-10k/day back on line instantly in case of emergency/pressing challenges.
(I did turn them off a few months back, but an emergency arose (can't remember what), and I haven't had the heart to turn them off. )

I almost bought a 965 black yesterday to build a new box, but I thought..."It would be better to buy a 5850 instead" I won't build a new box until all my pcie slots are filled.....
I still have 3 here at home, and then I have a gigabyte board with 4 dual slots to fill.... _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

My house would look like a church...actually with the way my wife lights candles, it almost already does. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

You know.......... Candles are REALLY bad for indoor air quality, not to mention they will gum up your Heatsinks and fans.......

That's why I was basically shut down over the summer. I could afford the CPUs or I could afford the AC, but not both. Now the winter is a different story:
Heating with Boinc!!
It's gone down to about 34 drg F around here and I am still nice & toasty without starting up the furnace. I may just start using the fireplace if it gets colder and watch the gas company scratch their heads.
That being said, $200 a month for Boinc is still an expensive hobby.
Oh- I forgot. I still have 5 GPU's I am not running because of the heat they put out. More BTUs! _________________
