Looks like there is a new BOINC project called NFS@Home, another math project, I wish there was a history project or something I can never understand the math. http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/index.php That is the website, there is a Knightly team, thought Sir DanceALot has yet to add a team description so people mught think we are sane. Be a bit careful with this one, the WUs get up to >400MB of memory, so a quad with 2GB (or a dual with 1GB) can get a bit tied up in knots. I have just added it to my home PC (did the lappy earlier). THe lappy has 1 WU and is mostly finished with it, BOINC decided that a few POEM WUs are high priority (due in 4 days), so the new shrub is on hold. The PC got it's 1 WU then grabbed an additional 20 & decided to HP them. I'll let it go overnight and see what happens, it ittakes too many recourses, then I will prevent new work and let it run out. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade! Don't think I'll be staying with this one. I downloaded a batch of WU and did fine until it started working on three at once. It's using 735MB of RAM on one and 650MB on a second. Even on a server class system, this tends to make things drag a little. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.
