Does someone have that Credit comparison chart (or a link to it)? Now that POEM is not the POTM, I wnat to get my shrubbers something with a bit more credit on them to go with POEM. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

At the moment I have NO GPUs and no prospects either. What I do have is 3 32 bit PCs running Win XP Pro.
Any suggestions? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Aqua pays pretty good, but you need at least a 2-core to run it. Then there's always FreeHAL, you can run up to 25 WUs alongside anything else you got. example: my quad core with 1 gpu can do 30 tasks at once (1 gpu, 4 on any project, 25 on FreeHAL). It's an easy way to pick up an extra couple thousand a day. _________________

What is free hal?
I used to shrub Aqua. It's been a while. I forgot why I stopped. Maybe I shall restart it and see how it goes.
No GPU here, so those are right out. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

As well as FreeHal, Docking, Yoyo & PrimeGrid (on PSP Sieve) are all paying pretty reasonable credit on "standard" CPU work.

Even without a GPU, Milkyway gives a fairly nice credit return with the optimized app. A QU giving like 52 or 53 credits, can go from around 2 hours on the stock app, to about 1 hr 25 or so minutes on the optimized. Yeah if you have a GPU, you want to throw it on there, but sitting up around 40 credits per hour is a lot more then many projects give...
Oh, and those simulated conversations, I don't put much stock in those. Back when I was in high school, we had a field trip to this museum that had one of those contraptions that was supposed to mimic a psychologist. Easy way to trip the stupid thing up; use figures of speech (and we all know that English isn't really that precise)
Typed in "Mother nature is rather unkind today, it's raining"; and it started coming back with questions about whether your mother was abusive growing up :p Typed that it was just stupid, and obviously this machine couldn't get "mother nature" as distinct from "mother/parent", and it was like "tell me about your fear of machines". Pretty stupid for a conversationalist. Though I didn't type:
"OK, the next thing I'm going to say is a lie"
"The last thing I said was the truth"
Those things would be just too easy to trip up, given there's no actual intelligence outside what got programed in, which is executed faithfully to a degree of exactness no human would ever use in a conversation. Well that, along with puns, figures of speech, play on words, jokes, etc _________________

I think FreeHal is trying to work out how to get machines to give natural language replies, in both English & German; they appear to be using the German Wikipedia for source material at the moment.
I hope they succeed, who'd want to ask for some Oberammergaueralpenkräuterdelikatessenfrühstückskäse before they've had their 1st cup of coffee in the morning (it's cheese, actually Oberammergau alpine herb deli-style breakfast cheese), or at lunch having to check that their steak conforms with the Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz (beef labelling law). Then if you go on a boat ride you might get to see das Vierwaldstätterseedampfshiffsfahrtsgeselschaftskapitänsmützensternlein (the star on the captain's cap), especially if you peek through his Donaydampfshiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitaenskajuetenschluesseloch (keyhole).
I suppose once they've cracked German & English, they could try Swedish - I'd like to know what nordöstersjökustartilleriflygspaningssimularoranläggningsmateriel-underhallsuppföljnings-systemdiskussionsinläggsförberedelse-arbeten is.

Of course - the last bit must be Swedish for Arboretum. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Well it took the whole weekend, but I remembered why I stopped Aqua. The never ending WU. I had 2 different shrubbers working on Aqua over the weekend. Not 1 WU completed between them. In fact the time to completion kept going up!
I am doing NFS, POEM and Seti. I might put MW on one of the PCs and remove Seti from it. Anyone have any idea where I might get the optimized MW ? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Someone should ask the thing what the German word for diarrhea is, and right in the classroom where this experiment is being conducted Then as the professor is shocked at the class laughing, try to get the program to give a response to that.
BTW, when I was in high school, we had a foreign exchange student from Germany who attended school for a year. And right in history class, after he introduced himself people started asking him what certain words were in German. And one of them was diarrhea. It's been a long time since, but as I remember it was up there with making the class laugh; as when Nintendo announced their game system would be called the Wii. And people thought about the prospects of an 8 year old boy being asked to be excused from the table to play with his Wii. Except the grandfather who is eating dinner over wouldn't know about Nintendos and would be like "is that what they're calling it these days" _________________
