Just lost my i7. Installed a new video card and the system powers up, but no display. Put old card back in, still nothing. Hard drive light doesn't blink. So, I basically have lots of fans running and some nice LED's, but nothing else. #Mad

My karma must have run over your dogma...sorry about that... Crying or Very sad

EDIT: Just a thought...might be the PSU...throw a tester on it...if you don't have one, a local PC shop should be able to check it or sell you one for less than $15...

Karma can be a b!tch. I've got to pick up a tester. That PSU is only a few months old, but I guess that could be it. I tried the card (GTX 295) in another box, but it only has a 600W PSU and it wouldn't give me a display. Fortunately, that's as far as it went. The 600W box is back up and running now with a more lightweight card.

That is what you get for buying a GTX295...shame on you for trying to up your stats behind our backs... Razz

I have heard that a single 295 draws soooooo much power, that you might need a HUGE PSU....and be able to run only 1 of them...

Embarassed I guess you're right. Shame on me for being a sneaky credit ho.

The 295 seems to work fine paired with a Corsair 650. For now, it'll stay on GPUGrid. I'm testing a 260 on MW to see how it does. So far, it looks like 3 1/2 - 4 minutes per WU.

EDIT: If that rate holds up we're looking at something under 20k per day. Anyone else running a 260 in MW? What's your experience?

It's not the PSU. I tried out a spare TX650W and it's doing the same thing. Mad

And what a wonderful world it is Rolling Eyes I think it's something with the mobo. Fortunately, I have another one that I've been waiting to use for a build now that the weather has cooled off.
