Probably not appropriate, given the world health concerns.
But loonies are not concerned about appropriateness.

I live in NYC and the high school it is in here is not that far from me... If I sit back and look at it, I can see it slowly starting to pop up in small areas and slowly begin to spread.... _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

I'll be passing thru Nashville tomorrow afternoon enroute back to Erwin
I'd call out "Ni!" to you as I pass by, but alas, it is the Word most Cherished in my vocabulary.
Should I let mere commonfolk hear it also as I say it?
Methinks not...
I'll send ya an Emoticon instead, fellow Tennesseean!

How does someone die from the flu, specifically swine flu? What actually causes death from H1N1 or the swine flu. How does someone die? What exactly happens? So how does someone die from the common cold or common flu?

I believe most are breathing related
Pneumo = Breath
Check CDC.gov for something definitive |

Sir Phred has it right, pneumonia is usually the killer. In a really severe case (we had one locally) the virus can attack the major organs (liver/kidney) causing them to essentially shut down. |

Not to cause a panic, but they are vastly underreporting anything out of NYC. It hasn't gotten rampent around here, yet. No one is calling for us to bring out our dead, but it is no small secret that the City health department is making it difficult for anyone to report or get tested for H1n1. That leads to small #'s being officially being reported, to it being under control. I think this is going to last for a while... _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

And ̶W̶i̶s̶c̶o̶n̶s̶i̶n̶ The Cheese Quadrant is being over-reported as the most cases in the nation, because we have a hyperactive health reporting system. |

THe mayor here is trying to get reelected. He doesn't want people to panic from all the deaths. Now they report the people dying in clumps. Usually right after something major happens so it gets buried in the news. THey have also tried to say the EVERY one of the deaths had an underlying cause. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

The term used over here is "serious underlying health problems"...
We have switched from "containment" to "treatment", basically because "containment" is impossible in a western democracy.
(e.g. Local college was closed after a couple of cases detected. Kids mostly went into town instead of staying at home and we are now getting loads of "unrelated" cases in the city... )
Doctors aren't bothering to test for the virus anymore unless someone has "serious" symptoms, so I suspect we have massive under-reporting going on.
