I don't know how long before it automatically makes him team founder.
Even if he can't move all the credits to another team, he will have access to all the Email addresses of the users.

Because it is pending change I can't tell who the original founder was...
I think it was Major Kong. He has been AWOL for years......

I checked all the projects I am on and there are no other Founder change requests...

This is exactly why all founders should be active crunchers and active on the forum. Most importantly active on our forum as intrests in crunching certain projects may wane from time to time.

This is a weakness in the security of Boinc, and can be used for nefarious purposes. Berkley has known about this for at least a year and has done nothing. Team Founders should be Team Captains and should be Voted on by the members of the Team.

Under no circumstances should all Email address of Thousands of our members be available to some unknown person.....

This could also be MUCH worse... We could loose all our credit in Seti
Over 350 Million credits....

If our users start getting Spam, Will they trust us and remain part of the Team?

You are correct sir. I don't know how long it would take to set that up. At the very least though we need to have someone active here as team captain to ensure this situation does not arise again. And someone who isn't even on the team should not be allowed to initiate a foundership change either.

Just my 2 cents.

I checked all the projects I am team founder on and no problems there. It is really only SETI, all the other team founders are active on the forum or in the project. I am sure this will be resolved, Dr. A, does not need this kind of publicity.
