Only a few more days left. Yes we have seemed to ramp up production in POEM already. I can feel the haikus coming on.

Mine are all due 4/1, too. I guess I'd better not suspend too long. |
Well if you want to give SHA-1 a month end bump, you could set Poem to "No New Work". That way those WU's would get crunched in time, but you won't get any new ones. That's what I just did, back to 100% SHA-1 in quest of team uNIty! I'll switch to Poem 100% on 3/31. By then I'll be ready to bust out a limerick!

I did that this morning before I headed to work on two machines so I by the time I get home I should be able to dedicate 14 cores to SHA-1 until the 31st. Can't wait to see what you come up with. _________________

If we take out the Kows, we would have spot 30 in POEM.
Isn't number thirty the spot where DC-Vault credits accrue? |

Are any power shrubbers gonna ramp up month-end SHA-1 Cobblestones for a big finish? We're 260,000 behind rank 11. If we have a chance to get there, I can run full bore for the next few days to help. If not, I'd rather crunch something else that'll help another project.

This is a real dilemma. Do I ramp up SHA by sacrificing some cores dedicated to SETI, or do I keep SETI going to try and get our place back? _________________

Yeah, But Seti is only worth 0.181 Vault points per position....
We are much better off as a Team Shrubbing other projects....
Poem is worth 20.877 Points per position _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Last month we had 23 votes, but currently only 18. I s'pose this is mainly because Poem has such a strong lead. But to eek out as many votes as possible, we might consider Boinc Synergy's concept of a back up project to the main project of the month. This back up project would be crunched only if the primary one runs out of work, hardware dies, etc.
If we're interested, the race for 2nd place is extremely close! Not sure if we want to do this, it could complicate the voting process by having folks vote only for 2nd rather than their preferred choice, etc....

I move we consider the proposal for a backup project like LanDroid has suggested. Sometimes projects run out of work, or servers go down or they may run out of liquid refreshments....this is a good "Plan B" for when that happens.
Also, if you haven't voted yet, please vote. Otherwise, if you don't vote...don't complain. Ni

I suggest SHA-1 to be the backup project next month, and forever... and even if SHA-1 will be elected as project of the month again, I think it should be its own backup too, Who's with me?!
Now seriously, a backup project sounds good... just in case POTM runs out of work for some reason.... _________________ Anyone for Crunch?
