|
|
Please vote for the project that you prefer for Project of The Month from the list above. The concept is KWSN members should allocate as many crunching assets to that project as feasible during the month of April. (Or at least crunch a few work units for the team!)
I've added our rankings and my subjective assessment of the Stomp Factor, which is described below.
Stomp Factor
Zero = We're solid, but probably can't move up.
Low = We might move up 1 place with some luck.
Medium = We could move up a few places.
High = We should stomp a bunch of teams on this project!
All non-Vault projects have been dropped from the list plus several others due to lack of work, etc.
Yoyo is listed as Non-Boinc because all of our Boinc points would go to another team, so we must run the non-Boinc client to get full credit.
The poll is open for 8 days, which means it will close end of Sunday 3/29. |

According to a new finding of Yankton, this is not true, credit of Yoyo DOES NOT go to a certein team but to a "general" team that does not count for the vault.

The positions we gain in YoYo will go to our DC Vault score.

yes, but the non-boinc credit generated doesn't got to retchenkraft but a non vault team created to submit work from yoyo.
As long as we're not assisting the competition, I'm good.

Physical Science: Overall - Up 1.773+
Green Arrows in 5 of the 12 categories, Einstein, LHC, MilkyWay, SETI (BOINC) and SpinHenge
(On Einstein, we moved up one to 15th place!)
Biological and Medical Science: Overall - Up 0.946+
Green Arrows in 3 of the 11 categories, Folding, POEM and Rosetta
(Alas, a Red Arrow on one, WCG...)

Call it the price of running the same project two months in a row. I have to admit, I started a couple of machines on it this morning myself _________________

Nah, don't feel guilty. I, too, defected for about 10 days to wrap up a big SETI AP WU, then I ran one core on SETI for about one week out of boredom. But I get pi$$ed off with the SETI pending crap, which wrecks your RAC. So I went back to running 100% on SHA. I am looking forward to running POEM after two months of mostly SHA.
Looking forward to April Fools Day. My kind of day!

I've got a machine running SETI until I get to 100k, but at this point I've got 7k pending. Very irritating Fortunately, with all the pending I only need to run it for 2-3 more days and then it's Poem time _________________

Mine are all due 4/1, too. I guess I'd better not suspend too long. _________________
