Well, it doesn't matter that the 8800 was not running anymore. That PS is gone. I should have known that 350 watts would not be enough. I replaced it with one of my spares (500W) but I had to reorganize the case (wires are shorter) and there are not enough plugs to run every thing. I will put the 8800 in my son's comp. Replace the 8600 that's in there now.

It will still Shrub, and that's the Important thing Smile

At least I got 2 fans and 2 fan guards out of it

The first 2 Gpu units that ran exclusively on the 9800's just finished. One took 15:22 and the other took 15:23.

The GTX 260's have really come down in price since I got mine. Crying or Very sad
About 90.00! Shocked
It's a great card. GTX260 216 Superclocked. Good for about 11K per day at GPUGrid

That is really cheaper than my 9800's. I got mine for $75 each but it was a mistake at New Egg. They are $149 now

Dammit, I woke up to a frozen machine. I had to hard crash it. I found no GpuGrid work and when I checked their website I had errored out 7 Wu's last night.
Then I could not get any more. So I reset the project and I still couldn't get any, so I suspended all boinc projects and forced it to give me new work.

I guess I OCed the box too far. I had it at 3.554Ghz so I backed it down to 3.500. Temps came down from 55c to 51c.

I know I can get this to 3.6 mabey 3.7 on air, but I think I would have to run it in the Fridge.....

Yeah, this Gpu stuff rocks.......

I got 15k today and I should have got more if I had not crashed....

Btw: I found out that I had a 13 year old trying to play Gta III on my box last night. He said " I was getting green, blue & pink screens and I had to reset it 5 times"

Duh, I should have Known......... #ni-1

one more thing, I was running a sha Wu in about 28-32 min on the 9850 @ 2.7Ghz.
on this one I run a sha in 17 - 21.

just found out that the boinc client 6.6.17 overloads the GPU WU with anon GU WU, so for example if you run a quad core you now get 4 nongpu WU's running and the GPU one, (or more if you SLi)

BTW take a look here.... al those corrupted WU's are when i remote desktoped into that machine... the GPUgrid sofware doesn't like that

Did you report the bug so they can work on fixing it? Bloody development versions.

Does it cause an error if you ssh in instead?

I just put the 6.6.17 client on my 3 main boxes.

It is running 4 poem and 2 cards at the same time. The gpu units seem to run faster as well as the manager looks like it dedicates 1%-2% to it constantly. 1 card or the other seems to always be at 1% or more.

Btw: I use "Log Me In" on my machines and I installed the client with it and no worries mate...

No...I hope they're back up today. Otherwise, some of these WU's are going to be late.

You could always shrub SETI Cuda. I know how much you dislike SETI, but it'll at least keep those 9800's working. On the downside, my pending credit is now up to >14k.

I am shrubbing Seti Cuda...
Sir Crazy is gonna smoke me like a cheap Cigar with this outage... he shrubs Milky, My nvidia's won't do that.

Seti shrubs are less than half the credit and I have a Ton of them.

I am now out of town and can't keep up with the project status on a real time basis. I will try to check a couple times a day but once is probably all I will get.....
