to say g'day. Sorry for the absence, and deepest apologies for any missed birthdays.
I've been really flat out here house-hunting, finance hunting, and feeling totally exhausted. I've also just found out that I'm diabetic, as well as being seriously anaemic. I'll try to pop in whenever I can. _________________ My brain hurts.

Hello fellow diabetic. I've been one for about 8-9 years now. Still no insulin, but it's a struggle.
I went through the early parts very rough, but have accepted this and am now taking much better care of myself. I see my dr. every 3 months for my normal blood work, etc.
Good luck with everything! We understand your away time. We all need it at times. |

Yes, that's exactly what it means, John.
Pooh Bear, it's a pain in the bum isn't it. I've got to see the doctor weekly (hope this changes as it gets sorted), take 2 Diabex pills a day, will have to see an eye doctor and a foot doctor, and a dietician, plus not get cranky or irritable because my mother keeps telling me to "eat something because my blood sugar is low because I'm cranky". Gah! She wonders why I get cranky! lol My blood sugar is really high and needs to come down not go up!
To all you younguns out there - look what you've got to look forward to when you're in the mid-forties. _________________ My brain hurts.

Bah! I think I'll go back to '29' and stay there.

I shall answer for The Grizz
It's Merry-go-beds in the nursing home for the old fella. It's a pain, the nurses tell us, but old folks lose that timing thing with their toiletry needs.
Then it a quick game of "whose meds are these anyway?" a favourite with the nursing staff. Mix them all in a jar then give out a handful to each resident. This gives the staff a well deserved rest during the night.
I do hope this snapshot of UK health care hasn't worried you Michelle but I understand you have just voted in a labour government down under. _________________ Crabbypatty

Bullocks2 - That doesn't sound like much to look forward to...but honestly I don't think it matters what government is in power. Our public health system hasn't been crash hot, in fact it's been a disaster, for the last 11 or whatever years with little Johnny running the country. I've got hopes for Kev. He might turn out to be alright.
This is an interesting read and sort of how things are going so far, if you're interested. SMH journalist's 'opinion'.
Lady DC, it is lovely to see you posting again. You are loved and respected by all (even Ol'Farty ). And you have been missed. I hope you're feeling much better too!
Hugs. _________________ My brain hurts.

As for the link I loved it! Now do you intend to export this unusual commodity
My idea is simple, it is find one ordinary man/woman who doesn't care for politicians then make them become your leader. They may not have grandiose and faciful ideas but they would at least have a knowledge of what living in the real world is all about! _________________ Crabbypatty

Michelle, how is it going now? Feeling any better?
As someone who has some blood on the high end of "normal" for the sweet stuff (the new Dr. we went to sent me for all sorts of tests - all of which came back as "normal" - (whatever that is))...I for got wha t I was going to say.....
He did tell me to walk for at least 20 minutes 3 times a week to help keep it in check (and to help make less of me too ) Maybe that would help you.... _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!
