You may wish to scorch the earth around the Cosmology department. We have begun to taunt the BoincSynergy team about their soon to be trampling by us. If you want to make it happen faster, there would be nothing wrong with that. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Double O,
I see you coming!
My quads are down at the moment but I shall endeavor to hold you off. I pulled my systems after the start of the project due to a move. You are a worthy adversary and I am certainly humbled by your firepower. If you could look at http://www.seventeenorbust.com/ or http://eon.cm.utexas.edu/ The kiniggits could use some firepower there as well.
I do not know what kind of pipe you have but I found that running BOINC (project of your choice) Depspid BOINC (low system requirements 20 instances) with EON (~20 seconds per unit), and http://www.majestic12.co.uk/ with http://www.netdimes.org/new/ Whew! seems to play nicely with each other.
That to me seems to be the most efficient use of a core.
I get about 1500 Boinc RAC, 3000 Dimes, 3mm Majestic and 7000 EON on a single Dual Core Laptop.
Happy Shrubbing! 10 more cores online this week!
SBSP
P.S. I got a new Q6600 and ECS mb this weeks at Fry's for $274 with 2GB Kingston 6400 ram for $49. Case for $39 and a few spare parts and my first LINUX install! Quad power rig for less than $400!
Although the next big check I am probably going to get a new DELL server. They have dual Xeon quads strippers for $800. $2,500 ought to do nicely for the herring collection. _________________ Ni!

If at all possible I'd like to hurt you badly, but it's tough to crush a sponge. I don't know how you manage to get that much MJ-12 on one box. What kind of pipe do you have, you little yellow, porous POS ? .

Sir Nefarious the Noxious,
I have seen your type!
http://www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/news/SpongeBob-attack-man-jailed.3611019.jp
You can try to crush me but I will remind you that Ihave a lighter!
Actually I have just moved to Houston, TX from Dallas, TX and still have for a short while my "old" 6mb DSL, and my "New" 6-12mb cable modem. I also have a 1.5mb wireless that I run on another laptop. But, alas I have to throttle down the cable. I was notified that in the first 30 days of my connection, I hit the top 1/10th of 1% of all comcast subscribers. Tee-Hee With 60 buckets and 250 workers I was getting a constant 5,250k with over 3mm on my one laptop per day. They want me to subscribe to a commercial line that will allow totally unlimited. Now I pay for 6mb+ and unlimited US calling for $59.

Speaking of taking down BoincSynergy, we are endevoring to pass them in Cosmology too. Any help there would be appreciated. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

So going forward what will you be using: the limited Comcast cable, the DSL, or the un-limited Comcast ?
I just wanna know if I have a chance at catching you, you mold and fungus ridden sponge .
I have a DSL, unlimited at about .4/4M. I can't get much more than 1.2 Mega-shrubberies per day out of it no matter what the settings are .

One thing at a time....I want to be above 100k before I move on to something else. |
That is perfectly fine. At your pleasure. I was just pointing out another crushing blow the knights could make to another team after you are finished. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

The Knights are now #3 in total, above BS, by ~2000. My grunt work is done. Over 100k in about a week in Sudoku, with all guns blazing!!! Now back to SETI for a while.
@ >or< : I was going to do some Cosmo, but saw that they were having some server problems and validation problems. Let me know when that gets worked out and I will give the team a week of my 29 cores. If they had a Mac app, I could make it an even 30, but alas, they don't (super slow 1gHz G4). _________________
