If those are like the type of security pillars I have seen & experience with. They can be unbolted (from the base that is actually into the ground) and removed so a vehicle can go into an area (and therefore out).

I'm pretty sure it's in the UK somewhere (look at the pedestrian signs, the cable duct covers and the appallingly done tarmac repairs) even though the text uses Americanisms. Smile
