1: OK, what are people planning to do to celebrate the new year?

2: Are you making any resolutions? Want to share any?

My answers:
1: Playing sheepshead and enjoying the company of some close card playing friends and lots of fun food. The wife is going with other friends to watch movies, etc. I get to spend it away from family!!!

2: To visit my granddaughter as often as I can!

1. My wife, kids and I are going to a friends house to enjoy the new year in relative quiet (the kids will play with each other, I will hang with my friend and consume beer, and the wives (actual college friends) with sit and talk about whatever it is women talk about).

2. Attempt (again) to lose weight.

My mum and I went down to the R.S.L. club to see if we could get in for dinner down there. The kids were looking forward to it, but unfortunately the R.S.L. was all booked out.
So my mum and I wasted some money in the evil machines before going to the supermarket.
We just had a roast dinner at home, and the kids and I have been on our computers. Fairly normal night really, and pretty much what we do every N.Y.E. Confused

As for resolutions, I never seem to make any because I always break them.

I will Sit in the hot tub with some friends and drink Korbel extra dry, eat Strawberries and Shrimp cocktail and watch the 4 to 6 inches of snow fall.

Mabey play some euchre with waterproof cards..... #ni-1
