Not being a Folder myself I don't know how they score.
But I bet that's as impressive as it sounds, i.e.very. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Cool!
What hardware you using?
I was poking out around 20k ppd using 5 q6600s (since departed) and some older P4s back in September. Thinking about getting a couple of new quad based systems for home. Not sure if I should use C2D quads or dual Quad Xeons ...

x5310s

couple of c2ds
ps3
qx6700
some q6600s
Cost wise I would say C2D quads. |

That is quite of bit of work done in Folding is a short time span. Keep it up and world domination in all projects will be in sight.

You are going to have to up it a little bit. I reckon you are averaging 32.5k giving 0.975mpm. Have you got any quads lying around?
I realise I'm in a similar boat. 35kppd in the long run isn't going to cut it, I'm going to have to work hard on better ocs. I need to push my G0s a lot further and re-visit my B3.
BaronGreenback embarasses me with the ocs he gets. I've got to get my "game face" on. I blame it on the fact I have spent the day making gift baskets and doing graphic design. |

I know ... I know ... today's been the worst day yet, 5 clients chewing over and over on bad wu (a few failing at 80%+) that aren't scoring. I've stuck some 1760s on them to make me feel better.
I've been around my overclocks this week and know the Q6600s can go a lot further, but the Abit F-I90HD only seems 100% reliable up to 2.9 GHz and the Asus P5K-VM at 3.0 GHz. Not sure if it's the mobo, integrated graphics or the memory holding everything back, the cooling is in good order and it doesn't matter if it's a B3 or a G0, they trash wu with the fsb any higher. One of my B3s will actually out-perform a G0 by a few MHz fsb on the Abit! Can't complain about the o/c though, the last 15% of performance always costs much more than another 15% if I need a better mobo and a graphics card. Still, I've squeezed another 5 GHz and it's been stable for hours now.
You've caned me all week, I could do with another quad or two. I've some bits lying around, I'll have to see what I can cobble together! _________________ 50 cores - 147 GHz - surely now over 1.0 mpm??? |

Tomorrow I try the northbridge - it's the only thing I've not tried - I think it's holding me back a little. _________________ 50 cores - 147 GHz - surely now over 1.0 mpm??? |

Hi Pete,
Ive noticed that running quads as apposed to dual cores, creates thermonuclear amounts of Northbridge heat. Watercooling the NB is the only way to got imo to get the best out of the quads. _________________ More Power Captain! We Need MORE POWER I Tell You!!

I've already taken the piddly heatsink off a few of the Northbridges and junked the thermal pad in favour of arctic silver 5 and that helped with stability - cheers for the tip BG, I'll see if extra cooling will help me push the o/c further. Don't go telling Justin though, there's a race on _________________ 50 cores - 147 GHz - surely now over 1.0 mpm??? |

I can't get a good stable oc over 3 at the momment on these boards.
Should have tried the gigabyte stuff. Only one EUE and one hang in the last 2weeks. |

Coming at ya Justin - EOC says the quadfather will be eating n'owt but gravel and dust when my renegade gang of hotquads line up behind you for the overtake procession in 1.2 weeks - back on track with 1/4 mil points in one week _________________ 50 cores - 147 GHz - surely now over 1.0 mpm??? |

I think we need a 'Technical Discussion' sub-forum for us to witter on about front side bus speeds, CPUs, Client Performance etc..
Hows about it mods? _________________ More Power Captain! We Need MORE POWER I Tell You!!
